A Beach Wedding in The Outer Banks by Echard Wheeler

We are wild for purple… amethyst, plum, and violet… and of course we’re always delighted when a wedding album sweeps us away to the beach! Marie and Nate’s wedding in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina was a blend of the two: gorgeous color and sweet East Coast scenery. This Outer Banks wedding, photographed by Echard Wheeler, was beachy & intimate, with the perfect amount of casual elegance.

Marie brought elegance to the beach by wearing this classic Justin Alexander gown. The bridesmaids, who flew in from all over the country, looked so pretty in plum-colored Alfred Sung dresses. For the ceremony, the focus was on the vows and the amazing coastal setting.

This adorable couple met in Rocket Club in high school, and kept in touch throughout the years. After many years of talking and many moves around the country, Nate finally asked Marie on a date- they were married three years later!
Marie and Nate love the Outer Banks, and made it the highlight of the day. After a beachfront ceremony, the reception was just steps away, indoors at the Pier House. They also really wanted to support local businesses, so they opted for saltwater taffy favors from Forbes Candies, florals from Bells and Whistles, and a menu of local seafood. The cake from Argyle’s brought the beach theme inside.
Their special day began with a little drizzle, but ended up with sunshine and a warm breeze. As evening came, indoor lanterns made the reception glow…
With the vibrant florals, amazing venue, and an adorably happy couple- this wedding was just filled with our favorite things! <3

You would think my favorite color is purple since every time I see a wedding with a purple color scheme I fall instantly in love. I very rarely mention the bouquet first but wow! The flower choices and colors are truly gorgeous. The bride looked absolutely amazing. Her Justin Alexander princess cut dress fits her body so well. The strapless bodice gives the dress a sexy feel yet the lace and the skirt show-of elegance. The reception was decorated beautifully. The centerpieces were simple yet eye-catching. I love the romantic vibe that the indoor lanterns gave out, a nice finishing touch for this beautiful venue.
Congrats to the happy couple and kudos to the vendors as well as the photographer and of course ProjectWedding for the blog post!

The flower is so beautiful,i know about so many different styles bouquets
Bridal Bouquets Styles:Style
Classic: For those who like a classic, feminine style, flowers such as roses, sweet pea, freesias and lilies can be used to add a soft and pretty look to the wedding. These types of flowers are often beautifully scented, with a “from the garden” feel. Colours tend to be whites, pinks and purples.
Modern: You could also choose something a little more modern, perhaps adding interesting textures and shapes, or a striking colour combination. This might include orchids, succulents or berries and colours such as deep mauves, oranges or blues.
Unique: To make a statement you could opt for a unique arrangement of exotic flowers, fruits, tropical leaves, sticks & other adornments will certainly serve to make sure you have a unique wedding!
Colours
When using colour with wedding flowers, the possibilities are endless. Today a rose can virtually be any colour you wish, from black to purple to green and with access to some many new hybrids of flowers, a bridal bouquet could be anything you want it to be.
Theme
You may choose to match the colour of your wedding flowers to the colour of your bridal party. This can be especially effective for a more classic style of wedding.
Classic: Keeping the bouquets neutral coloured is another option which can be quite stunning. This colour scheme keeps your look fresh and understated.
Centre Of Attention: For a big splash, you could opt for a contrasting colour to your bridal party. This choice makes your bouquet a real feature on your special day. Type of BouquetYour bridal bouquets can be natural stems, partly wired, or fully wired.
Constuction
Compact bouquets include the classic, rounded posy style or a small teardrop style bouquet.
Flowing/Cascade bouquets can either be informal sheafs, which are held up the arm, or a flowing trail bouquet – with one or more trails that may be as long as you like!

It’s hard to find well-informed people on this subject, however, you seem like you know what you’re talking about! Thanks
