A Garden Party Wedding in Brisbane by Mihaja Photography

Bec and Andy’s Brisbane wedding captured their unique romance to a tee. The couple met far away from home, in London, thru a mutual friend. Bec became a regular at Andy’s band gigs, and after forming a deep friendship, a New Year’s kiss made their romance official. Their families are from many miles apart, so the Glengariff Historical Estate in Brisbane was a great choice to appease both sides. The gorgeous garden party feel with charming vintage styling has us melting! Enjoy this sweet set of photos by Mihaja Photography.
The couple didn’t have a specific, formulated color scheme in mind. Instead, Bec went to the store and found these darling Alannah Hill bridesmaid dresses… then she based the theme on the pretty pattern of the fabric. Bec’s corset tea-length dress from Mark Holt Bridal is a total charmer, perfect for the daytime celebration. To incorporate a bit of old, Bec had the store sew her great grandmother’s brooch onto the gown.
After seeing a friend’s wedding photos, Bec fell in love with Caroline from Mihaja Photography. She booked her before looking at anyone else!
Although it was a rainy day in Brisbane, the rain stopped just long enough for the outdoor ceremony. In true vintage style, the bridesmaids wore pretty corsages and carried lace parasols. We can’t get enough of the groomsmen’s matching bowties!
Bec and Andy are not your average couple- instead of celebrating anniversaries, they celebrated their 1000th day together. Then, on their 1500th day together, Andy proposed! He designed the engagement ring himself (big swoon)….
We’re entirely charmed…. Big congratulations to Bec and Andy!
