Day Three: NYC Bridal Market Top Ten {Part One}
Posted on October 23rd, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Wedding Dress.
If you haven’t yet had your fill of incredible new bridal fashion, don’t worry one bit, because I have much more coming your way! Without further ado, I’m back to counting down the ten highlights from each day at market. On to day three…
no. 1 Romona Keveza’s Crystal Lace
I got up close and personal with Romona Keveza’s newest season of her Legends line and was absolutely awe-inspired with her use of crystal lace- a fabric exclusive to the collection. It’s hard to tell from the photo, but along with the beauty of an intricate lace, it has the most incredible shimmer…
no. 2 Butterflies Abound at Elizabeth Fillmore
Aren’t these butterfly embellishments so so lovely and sweet? This season, Elizabeth’s stand-out silhouettes were carefully adorned with embroideries and beading to create a poetic pairing of nature and romance.
no. 3 Lacey Statement at Anne Barge
Lace was at large on many of the runways this season, but the always-classic Anne Barge made an especially noteworthy lace statement. The Alencon lace gown on the right even has a pearl-to-blush ombre effect which, naturally, I adore.
no. 4 The Ballgown Makes Her Comeback
By day two it was noted and by day three it was official: ball gowns are oh-so-back in style. And it’s not to say that they ever weren’t in style in the realm of bridal, but rather, they’re just back in a very big way. Although we saw several ravishing styles at the Ines di Santo presentation, I thought I’d share this one (as I do a little happy dance for all the lucky ladies that will get to bear their fairytale fantasy thru fashion next year)!
no. 5 A Sweet Stop-In with Amy Kuschel
San-Francisco-based designer Amy Kuschel does vintage so sweetly, I was charmed to say the least when I stopped by for a peek at her 2013 dresses. In fact, the simple loveliness of the Meadow gown straight up stole my heart ♥
