Day Three: NYC Bridal Market Top Ten {Part Two}

no. 6 Austin Scarlett’s Bridal Debut
There were two moments of the entire weekend that really blew me away. The first was the Monique finale. The second was at Austin Scarlett’s runway presentation. The collection? Truly beautiful, I was enchanted by his use of rich silks, printed fabrics, and pastel hues as shown below. The moment that really gave me chills, though, was when he walked the runway at the very end. He’s just sweet and lovely as can be. It was momentous really… an up and coming designer making a splash. It was not only a highlight of day three, but of the entire weekend.
no. 7 Marveling Over Maggie
Always a bride’s favorite, Maggie Sottero revealed several crowd-pleasers this season including a platinum ruffle gown and other glam silhouettes with out-of-this-world adornments.
no. 8 Innovative Embellishments
Nobody is an innovator of embellishments like Badgley Mischka. It’s always a true joy to pop in and see what these two design genius’ reveal! I’m especially crushing on this raw-edged organza rosette bodice and the sheer, crystal-embellished gloves.
no. 9 Birnbaum & Bullock’s Sequence Pantsuit
I’m always in the mood for something on-the-fringe, so I was wide-eyed and pleasantly surprised when a model in this hot little pantsuit number strutted down the runway over at Birnbaum & Bullock. Trés chic!
no. 10 Wild & Yumi
Speaking of on-the-fringe, we wouldn’t expect anything less than a walk on the wild side over at Yumi Katsura. The presentation was unforgettable, featuring this bold red spaghetti strap gown in sustainable lace and ultra-retro, larger-than-life side bow.

I was lucky enough to be in New York for the Bridal Market and I have to say it was amazing to see the different styles and the incredible range of dresses that are coming in 2013! Makes me want to get married all over again.
