Springtime Chic Farm Wedding by Bear Flag Farm and Gertrude & Mabel Photography

Looking at these photos, I feel like I’m in a dream. There’s nothing more surreal or idyllic than two people completely in love, celebrating their commitment among lavender fields and sycamore trees, on the lush grounds of a little piece of organic paradise. That’s the Bear Flag Farm for you. Jessica got hooked early on the idea of a rustic, chic, outdoor wedding at a sustainable local farm and Mike quickly got on board. They found the Winters, California venue and fell head over heels for the magical setting, not to mention, they loved the farm to table style menu, décor, and details. Gertrude & Mabel Photography was onsite to capture every angle of gorgeousness.

Jessica wore an exquisite, all-lace Monique Lhuillier gown, while her maids dressed up in sunny yellow frocks by Amsale. Lush, colorful bouquets of peonies, succulents, roses, and blue thistle splashed the late spring/early summer palette all over.

The pair was introduced by a mutual friend at a coffee shop in Providence, Rhode Island. They dated for two and a half years, sharing their mutual love of travel, music, the outdoors, adventure and silly youtube videos, before Mike proposed to Jessica while on a cross country skiing trip in New Hampshire.

After marrying under a canopy of fresh blooms, surrounded by the scent of lavender, the couple and their photographer took advantage of the late afternoon sunlight and blissful setting. A celebration ensued with lawn games, cocktails, and hours of eating, dancing, and merriment in the glow of lantern and starlight.
