Shabby Chic Sophistication: A Real Wedding by Love Life Images

For Marlysa and John, it was love at first sight. Like in a movie, the pair met and locked eyes at a bar in Arlington, Virginia and things have never been the same. The two are spontaneous types, and once they were ready to move into the next chapter of their relationship, it was decided that they would host a wedding in three short little months! Thankfully, John’s sister is one of the creative gals behind Simply Chic Events, and she helped them to pull off a gorgeously shabby chic wedding at The Meridian House in Washington D.C. Jennifer Domenick of Love Life Images captured their story of heartfelt emotion and fabulous style in dramatic photos.

Marlysa looked stunning in a Victoria Nicole gown and Old Hollywood glam-style hair and makeup. After the first look on a marble staircase, they headed to the courtyard to make an emotional, lifelong commitment in front of eighty five loved ones.

Guests were greeted by a well styled lounge for pre-party refreshments and relaxation. The weather couldn’t have been better for a nighttime affair and the grounds were covered in blooming flowers, stone walkways, and an arched linden tree grove.

We’re in awe of all the prettiness that came out of three months of planning (including that glittery, floral-embellished cake)! Cheers to newlyweds!
