DIY Wednesday: A Gift for Little Guests

Your little wedding guests are just as excited about your big day as you are. Kids love being included in such grown up events but don’t always have the attention span to outlast long dinners and receptions. Placing fun suitcases (you can purchase them here) at your designated “kids table” or having them handy elsewhere in your venue will keep them entertained through it all. Compile these cute treat boxes in three easy steps:
Supplies: little guests tag download • scissors • cardstock • twine • suitcase full of fun kid stuff
Step One • Print off the tag download onto cardstock.
Step Two • Cut out a tag and attach it to a suitcase using twine.
Step Three • Fill the suitcase with fun things! We filled ours with crayons, a disposable camera, a candy necklace, notepad + paper, and novelty games found in a party store
Be sure to customize your suitcases to the ages and interests of your little guests.

Great ideas! I also love setting up a banquet table for just the kids to sit at covered with butcher paper so they can color on it if they want with crayons from their cute little suitcases!
If you have several children, ask your caterer to have a kids buffet with the foods they love. It will be so much less expensive than feeding them the regular menu items you have chosen for your adult guests and they will enjoy it so much more! I have seen kids buffets with: P,B & J sandwiches cut into fun shapes like hearts, chicken tenders, tater tots, mini hot dogs, and macaroni and cheese. Have an adult monitor it, as the parents will crash the kids buffet & eat more of the kids food than their own!
