Michelle + Marty: A Pretty in Purple Chicago Wedding by Gerber + Scarpelli Photography
Posted by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings

Happy Monday, PW Readers! This week’s real wedding comes straight from the Windy City, and it was love at first sight when we laid eyes on the multi-hued floral arrangements. The gorgeous assortment of pinks, blues, and violets contrasts beautifully with the Chicago skyline, don’t you think? Special thanks to Gerber + Scarpelli for sharing the images with us! You can view the complete set over on our main site.

After their church ceremony, Marty and Michelle joined friends and family for a formal reception at the Chicago History Museum. Luxurious purple table linens were topped with tall silver vases filled with those beautiful florals we mentioned earlier (head to our main gallery to see even more shots), and the cake was a simple three-tiered confection textured with white icing florettes. Our favorite detail of the day? The couple handed out popcorn and cups of warm coffee as late night pick-me-ups before directing guests to the after party.

Thanks again to Gerber + Scarpelli for sharing this special day with us! If you liked this wedding, we also suggest checking out Gina and Mark’s chic Lincoln Park Zoo ceremony and Jennifer and Jamie’s luxury fucshia and violet wedding at the Four Seasons.
