Raquel + Jason: A Glam Nautical Wedding by Nerinna Studios
Posted by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings

Raquel and Jason’s glam nautical affair is the perfect blend of summertime and ballroom chic. From the striking blue lighting of the reception to the charming anchor cake topper, we love this hot weather wedding from Monterey, California for its unique twist on a traditionally preppy aesthetic. Thanks to Nerinna Studios for sharing the day with us! You can see even more details in our full gallery.

Jason and Raquel met through mutual friends at a Dave & Buster’s. After eight years of dating, Jason proposed during a gondola ride in Venice, Italy. After celebrating so many previous anniversaries at the Monterey Plaza Hotel, the couple knew it would be the perfect place to have their wedding.

Swank Events helped the couple transform the Cypress Ballroom at the hotel into a glam, blue-tinted reception space. Submerged centerpieces, antique lanterns, and charming rope place card holders played off the day’s nautical theme.

Thanks again to Nerinna Studios for sharing this wedding with us! If you’re looking for more nautical inspiration, be sure to check out this vintage nautical dessert spread and this cute houseboat engagement session. You can also see more details from this wedding over on our main site.

The bride looks stunning, and i LOVE the colour of the bridesmaid dresses, it is my favourite colour! The anchor ontop of the cake was a very creative yet cheeky idea! Fabulous!
