Rachael and Amon were married at Good Shepherd Chapel followed by a reception at Fitzroy Town Hall in Melbourne, Australia. Since the bride described herself as a “whimsical and creative,” and the groom described himself as a “traditionalist,” they decided to have a wedding that was both formal and informal. It’s all about compromise, right? Rachael walked down the aisle wearing a custom capped-sleeved wedding gown as her sister-in-law sang, “Fools Rush In.” “I am not a fan of ‘matchy-matchy,'” Rachael said. So, bridesmaids each chose a floral dress they felt suited their style and carried wildflower bouquets. It a was a sight to see all the colors of the rainbow! Amon wore a custom blue Ralph Lauren suit with a black bow tie, while his groomsmen paired their own black suits with Paul Smith shirts. Following the ceremony, the wedding party decorated the historic building’s steps with streamers and posed with balloons. Reception tables featured fruits and vegetables to provide a still-life painting feel. Fun fact: all the tapas-style food was donated to a local mission after the wedding. See the full board here.
