Laura and Robert were married at Stone Manor Country Club in Middletown, Md. last spring. “Being mid-April, I was worried about rain,” Laura said. “But the day we got married was beautiful, and the sun was shining.” The bride wore a lace a-line wedding gown, accessorized with her hair half-up/half-down in loose curls, while the groom wore a light gray suit, accessorized with a pink tie. “I wanted something really simple, not too over-the-top,” she said. “I found a lot of my ideas online. A few of the things I did were do-it-yourself too.” Following the Jewish ceremony, guests were given a mason jar with handwritten chalkboard stickers on it. Bonus: It doubled as their seating assignment! “Rob and I really didn’t want a big wedding,” Laura said. “I only wanted 75 people, but we ended up inviting 130 and only 109 attended. I was perfectly happy with that. I was glad I was able to speak with everyone and still have time to have fun.” The newlyweds performed their first dance to Bob Dylan’s “To Make You Feel My Love.” Oh but one of the prettiest details was the mini cake. How can you resist those flowers? See the full board here.

Jill and Brian were married at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Va. last fall. “We were blessed with beautiful sunny skies, mild weather, and a gorgeous view of the Blue Ridge Mountains,” Jill said. “We had such a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends. It was truly the best day of our lives.”  The bride wore a lace fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown, accessorized with a neutral pair of Lily Pulitzer peep-toe wedges, while the groom wore a a black suit, accessorized with a striped tie. Bridesmaids chose navy blue dresses in various styles to suit their figures and carried handmade bouquets of sunflowers, daisies, and mums. Guests were greeted with a chalkboard sign that said, “Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here! Love, Jill and Brian.” Can you guess what Jill drove to the ceremony in? A Jeep Wrangler! “We wanted the focus to be on bringing everyone together to share in the joining of two,” she said. “We met while I was still in graduate school at University of Virginia, and we loved the time we spent dating in Charlottesville and wanted to share the beautiful town with them.” Cocktail tables were decorated with baskets filled with sparkling water bottles and fruit, and yummy hors d’oeuvres were served hot-off-the-grill. The reception followed inside the barn where the newlyweds danced to “You Are The Best Thing” by Ray Lamontagne as night fell and stars began to rise. See the full board here.

Debra and Nick were married at Carriage House at Magnolia Plantations & Gardens in Charleston, S.C. on January 3. “We knew that we wanted a special destination and Chaleston, our first weekend getaway as a couple, fit the bill,” Debra said. “We originally wanted to get married on New Year’s Eve, but we settled on January 3, 2014 — taking a gamble on the fickleness of a Southern winter.” The bride wore a sweetheart wedding gown with a ruched bodice and ruffled skirt, accessorized with a birdcage veil and rosette peep-toe kitten heels, while the groom wore a black suit, silver vest, and white pocket square. “In terms of decor, we went with a rustic theme using gray, burlap, and ivory linens with pops of red,” she said. Bridesmaids wore long chiffon dresses and carried bright bouquets of roses, berries, dusty millers, and scabiosa pods. “A cold front rolled in the day before our wedding, dropping the temperatures from 60s to 30s,” Debra said. “Our bridal party was full of troopers because they all agreed to remain sleeveless and without coats.” The reception followed inside with candlelit centerpieces, praline favor bags, and several traditional Okinawan dances.
