* Pistachio Green Wedding Palette
Posted on August 24th, 2009 by Alyson. Filed under Color Palettes, Wedding Inspiration.
The green stationery, the cucumber mint gimlet cocktail, the cookie bar, and the chocolate cups with pistachios and toasted coconut are all from Martha Stewart.
The green candy buffet is by the ever talented Amy Atlas.
The light green bridesmaid gown is called Sam by Thread.
The cute green shoes are DKNYC Foxy Pump in Bamboo Green from Endless.com.
The photo of poppy greens is by Kathryn Kleinman.
Limeade photo by Lisa Lefkowitz.
I love the oak leaf menus, but I’m afraid I can’t recall where that picture came from. If you know, email me, because I’d love to give them credit.
The rest are my Etsy finds of the day:
The Pistachio Bloom earrings on the left are by dkjewels. Right now they’re even offering a 20% off sale!
The beautiful Mandizzle is modeling her silk flower hair clip called The Lucky in the top right corner. She has one of my favorite hair accessory shops on Etsy!
Next to her, the AAA Green Amethyst Faceted Pear Briolette beads are from bismillahgem. Amethyst is my birthstone, and in the last couple of years I have become mildly obsessed with the green variety. If you’re crafty, you could make your own custom wedding jewelry for yourself and your bridesmaids!

I love, love, love this Moroccan-themed display from Sunday Suppers! How breathtaking is this color palette for a bridal shower or unforgettable wedding? According to famed wedding planner Mindy Weiss, this color combo has been a big trend in many of the weddings she has worked on recently.

Beautiful! Event planners Details Details put together this stunning outdoor affair, which was all about the beach and aqua as the color inspiration. Among the sweet elements; starfish napkin treatments, guests all received custom note cards as favors, there was a surprise mini wedding cake for the groom’s son (who loves chocolate!). Other highlights: the champagne ice bar, the sushi station and shell chandeliers!

* Seeing Red!
Posted on August 12th, 2009 by Jeannie. Filed under Color Palettes.
The inspired team from Details Details wedding and event planning brought this bride’s big day to life in a dramatic way! Her big request — that her wedding reflect lots of red, a lucky Chinese hue. Details Details combined red with fuschia for an extra burst of color. The wedding was held at The Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach.

* The Sweet Spot

It’s Friday, so I am thinking about the weekend and that includes sweets! I allow myself a little food “cheating” on Saturdays and Sundays! On that note, I wanted to present this tangerine orange/creamsicle wedding, coordinated by the wonderful Jesi Haack Weddings! It is featured in our Guide section - check it out!

I must admit normally I am not a huge fan of hot pink — especially when pared with red — but this luncheon wedding worked for me! Here’s a little color palette inspiration for all of you pink ladies out there!

* Peachy Pink and Soft Moss Green
Posted on June 27th, 2009 by Alyson. Filed under Color Palettes, Wedding Inspiration.
Today’s palette is a peachy pink that makes me think of pink grapefruit, balanced with a soft moss green.
Martha Stewart always provides lots of wedding inspiration for me. Today she’s responsible for:
- The ribbon and floral boutonnieres
- The ranunculus bouquets (you know how I love ranunculus bouquets for weddings!)
- The bouquet of dahlias
- The pink table setting in the center of the board
- The pink grapefruit mojitos that I am dying to try
- The green stationery
- The pink dogwood flowers
- The cutely packaged pink and green wedding favor
The pink table setting in the top left and the gerbera daisies are both from The Knot.
The bouquet of lovely pink roses are from Costco of all places! I think they’re one of the best deals you can find on roses.
The fantastic pink candy buffet is by byrd + bleecker. They have another great pink grapefruit addition – those pink grapefruit candy slices. I love those things!
The Marilyn style sage green satin halter dress is on Amazon. It’s available in sizes XS-3x, so it’ll fit almost any bridesmaid!
The fantastic star paper lantern is by Luna Bazaar.

* Sunshine Yellow Theme
Posted on June 8th, 2009 by Alyson. Filed under Color Palettes, Wedding Inspiration.
Since I spent much of last week using pinks in my inspiration boards, I’ve decided to avoid pink all-together this week. The focus of today is all about shades of one delightful color: sunshine yellow!
I just wanted this yellow inspiration board to radiate warmth and fun. This could be perfect for a light-hearted spring or summer wedding. The flower possibilities are great for yellow themes. I used daffodils, narcissus and calla lilies, but you could also go for gladiolus, tulips, roses, daisies, and buttery yellow stock.
I love bow accents with this cute theme. The dress is by Thread. The brighter yellow heels with the bows are called Rossi by Steve Madden. The darker yellow peek-a-boo pumps are Pura Lopez from Nordstrom.
The bow shaped napkin fold and the lovely wedding cakes are from Martha Stewart Weddings.
For the menu, lemons are an obvious choice — lemonade, lemon sorbet, maybe even lemon meringue tarts? Yum!

* Modern Romance in Black and White
Posted on May 28th, 2009 by Alyson. Filed under Color Palettes, Wedding Inspiration.
Hello everyone at One Lovely Day! My name is Alyson, and I was the lucky winner of Project Wedding’s Inspiration Board Contest! I’ve been invited to be a guest blogger here to share some of my inspirations with you. If you’d like to see more of my designs and ideas, please come visit me at my wedding inspiration blog Keen To Be Seen, too!
Today’s theme is modern romance with black and white floral details.
Some of my favorite elements of this board are the funky and fabulous button and felt flower bouquets by Princess Lasertron. I love the combination of handcrafted and vintage glam!
The white hydrangea bouquet with beaded black butterflies is another Martha Stewart find. The Caroline Herrera blossom gown photo was also from Martha Stewart Weddings. When I first saw it, I couldn’t decide if it was a thumbs up or thumbs down for me, but I’ve decided I’m a fan. The rest of the gown is very understated, so I think that even with the huge bloom it manages to be elegant and lovely.
I love both pairs of shoes. The black pair are black tulle stilettos with organza roses by Badgley Mischka. Unfortunately, I’m not sure who made the other ones, but I love them. If you know, send me a note and I’ll update it here! The same goes for that fantastic black lace cake.
The cute little black and white dress from Peach and Plum would be a modern take on a frilly flower girl. And it’s even on sale!
Finally, the Damask Pattern Tape is genius. You can use it for packaging favors as shown in the picture, but you can also use it to on clear glass votive candle holders to make these:

The song for today is I’ve Got the World On a String by Michael Bublé– I thought it was a good combination of old-school classic with a modern twist, just like today’s board!
