Hatch Creative Studio in NYC is THE place to go if you want a breathtaking, innovately designed event. They even have their very own, freshly assembled “Nest Event Loft” to inspire those coming in for a visit. I find this vintage yellow vibe completely warm and lovely – perfect for a spring/summer wedding anywhere!

* All Aboard: The Nautical Nuptials

There are many elements to this nautical wedding from Weddingbee’s Mrs. Gloss that I just love. First, the navy and yellow palette just works so well together. Second, look at the gorgeous cakes, decorated with blueberries and put together on homemade cake stands. The whimsical table cards are also very clever, and the homemade strawberry jam favors add such a sweet touch.

Details Details wedding planners showed off some recent work — a breathtaking wedding created at The Resort at Pelican Hill in CA. I love the naturalness of the color palette, the earthy shades of green, the butter yellow and soft whites. It doesn’t hurt that the brilliant Jesse Leake took the stunning photos! Enjoy!

This is part three of a three part series contributed by Anne Sage of The City Sage.

Depression Era Florals
In spite of much hardship, the 1930′s were not without beauty and joy. A midsummer twilight gathering calls for homespun calicos, flowers of all hues, and desserts like grandma used to make. Ask guests to donate Goodwill-bound furniture for the decor. Required viewing: O Brother Where Art Thou.

This is part two of a three part series contributed by Anne Sage of The City Sage.

Edwardian Elegance
A Spring garden party practically begs for the enchanting and ethereal sensibility of the early 1900′s. A mix of soft pastels–peach, mint, and sky–complement filmy gowns and lush, loose floral arrangements. Tea sandwiches and petit fours are a must! Required viewing: Finding Neverland.
