* Bridal Trend: Something Blue
Posted on November 18th, 2009 by Kate. Filed under Wedding Dress.
Sweet little blue accents and lush, blue hued fabrics have made their way into the 2010 bridal collections. We love this concept for destination weddings, outdoor weddings, or lavish affairs with a blue motif.

* Springtime in Paris!
Posted on November 9th, 2009 by Jeannie. Filed under Wedding Dress.
Karen Hendrix Couture just sent over a sneak peek of their exquisite Spring 2010 line — including color, a Tiffany dress and this perfect little white dress! Love, love, love! About color, Hendrix says, “Why not wear a color that compliments her complexion? As someone I admire once said, The best color in the world, is the one that looks good on you.” I love her way of thinking!
* Friday Fashions

I am still pouring over thousands of images from the wedding shows we attended in New York. One of my favorite designers was Jenny Yoo. I admire her clean designs and subtle glamour. I am really loving this short dress with pockets…maybe for my big day? Hmmm…! Here are a few that had the crowd buzzing!
* Winnie Couture ~ Romance and Glamour

Bridal fashion week took a turn for the dramatic at the Winnie Couture fashion show on Friday night. Winnie, known for her modern take on vintage lines and royal embellishments, did not disappoint with her new line of wedding gowns. From ultra-feminine ruffles to glamorous beaded details, each dress was equally unique …

* Eco Couture: Here to Stay
Posted on October 21st, 2009 by Jeannie. Filed under Wedding Dress.
In more great moments and finds while in New York, I met with Adele Wechsler, the talented designer behind an amazing line of wedding dresses that are 100% eco-friendly. What I love is that you can have a green wedding without sacrificing an ounce of style or glamour with your bridal gown. Her dresses are made from organic hemp and silk, vegetable dyes, remnant fabrics and are hand cut designs. Most of her dresses are also multi-functional, you can take of the bottom piece/train and have a fun, sexy dress to wear at your reception.

* Dream Come True…

The Kirstie Kelly for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings Come True show was truly a dream come true for many of us. The show Sunday night was magical, whimsical and exciting. The dresses were inspiring — and there were not only princess gowns but a gorgeous stream of fitted, elegant, dazzling creations. The most precious part of the show — the little flower girls! Here’s your special preview:
* Dazzle & Drama Rules Di Santo

The incredible Ines Di Santo couture show was all about precious gemstones and each piece being three dimensional as the perfect compliment. Every dress was insired by a different gem - from the diamond gown to the garnet dress and the brilliant amethyst. A look we absolutely loved from this event - the head pieces and glam updos!

* Keveza Couture Wows NY!

Romona Keveza is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her Couture Collection. She started the show today with a retrospective of her bridal showstoppers, dating back to 1999. What struck me was how truly timeless her creations are — any of them could be worn today. Her new collection had me speechless, as stunning piece after stunning piece came down the runway. Here are a few highlights:

* Love Me Tender …

We visited Amy Michelson Saturday morning, where she revealed her 2010 line which is all about what she calls a “sexy, beachy” vibe. Some of the dresses are ultra-glamorous, while others have stunning, floaty tails to die for! Another amazing thing she is doing — cool colors underneath the organza like peach blush. Here is one I absolutely loved, called the “Love Me Tender.” It features French embroidered lace, feathers and adorable organza roses.
