* Candy Buffet

Posted on March 3rd, 2009 by Margaret. Filed under Do It Yourself, Wedding Cakes, Wedding Favors.

I thought it might be fun to feature some guest bloggers on the Project Wedding blog just to get some variety in point of view. Our first guest post is from my dear sister Kathy, who recently designed a candy buffet for her very best friend from high school.

When Kathy was planning this candy buffet, she asked me for some tips. My advice - simple and monochromatic. For a candy buffet to look cohesive with the entire wedding, there should be one dominant color, and possibly one (and no more than two) accent colors. The results I think were amazing.
Here are some words straight from Kathy, the designer behind this gorgeous candy buffet:
Brown was the main wedding color, so I opted for an all-white table with brown accents. My favorite part of the table was the TJ’s edamame with white pocky sticks stuck in them - you can kind of see it at the foot of the centerpiece. I made the fleur de sel caramels, truffles, and some chocolate leaves that I made using this sweet vintage mold from Housing Works I got when I was in nyc.
