Ingrid and Justin were married at Anchor Covenant Church, followed by a reception at Geneva National Golf Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisc. on September 13. Ingrid looked fabulous is an A-line gown with a strapless sweetheart neckline and finished with a yellow beaded sash. She donned her hair in a low updo and carried a bright bouquet of yellow roses, daffodils, billy balls, ranunculus, and succulents. Her ‘maids opted for short light gray chiffon dresses, while the groom and his men looked dapper in gray suits and yellow neck ties. The intimate crowd of 95 guests gathered at Anchor Covenant Church as the pair exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony. “My groom did an amazing job with the ceremony set up,” Ingrid said of the ceremony decor. “He had a vision of what to do with our door- which was taken from my dad’s childhood home, which my grandfather built, and used it as the main piece behind us as we said our vows.” What a sentimental touch! A reception followed at a nearby golf resort. Guests were greeted by a chalkboard sign decorated with yellow balloons. ” When arriving to the reception, everyone was gushing about the food and amazing appetizers that were available,” Ingrid said. Appetizers included mini grilled cheeses, vegetarian egg rolls, and Italian sausage. The reception space was filled with handmade touches including baby photos of the couple, handwritten place cards (by the groom), and creative table names. Guests were asked to leave their cards in a rustic basket adorned with bunting. For dessert guests enjoyed a three-tier square cake with yellow and gray frosted roses and a Mr. and Mrs. topper. Ingrid advises couples to keep their heads up while planning. “Positive attitudes will make all the difference when little things do not go the way your planned.” See the full board here.

Nicole and Derrell were married at Secrets Aura Cozumel in Cozumel, Mexico on June 28. The bride looked stunning in a ruffled mermaid gown with a sweetheart neckline and a jeweled sash. She donned her hair in a low chignon bun and carried a bouquet of red long-stemmed roses. Her ‘maids opted for various red lace dresses while the groom and his men looked dapper in gray suits with black bow ties. “Mexico is known for its beautiful and bright pops of colors, so I thought it would be a great complement for the wedding to use the color red which reminded me of Mexico,” Nicole said of her wedding inspiration. The 40 guests gathered on the pier for the intimate evening ceremony. After they officially tied the knot, a nighttime reception was held on the beach under palm trees and a gorgeous chandelier. Guests sat at a long banquet table with glass cylinder centerpieces filled with red roses. “I always loved the color white at big events because its very timeless and classic,” Nicole said of the red color scheme. “I wanted to try to keep everything as ‘clean’ as possible but adding pops of color here and there as ode to Mexico really worked.” Guests were given Mexico-inspired favors, which included bottles of tequila and mini maracas! Guests enjoyed a simple two-tier cake adorned with red roses for dessert. Nicole recommends a destination wedding for couples in the planning process! “Having a destination wedding was super fun and I believe it was less stress than a local wedding,” Nicole said. Jennifer and Matthew were married at the DeBordieu Club in Georgetown, S.C. on October 25. Jennifer looked flawless in an A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline and a bejeweled sash. She donned her hair in an updo and carried a bouquet of white and blue-tipped hydrangeas wrapped in navy blue satin. Her ‘maids opted for navy blue floor-length chiffon gowns. The groom looked dapper in a tan suit with a blue neck tie. His men looked handsome in more casual attire, tan vested suits. “We were married on a perfect South Carolina fall day,” Jennifer said of the weather. “There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and it was a perfect 70 with a cool ocean breeze.” The pair exchanged vows in on the courtyard of the DeBordieu Club in front of 100 friends and family members. Guests sat in white folding chairs constructed in a semi-circle arrangement. A cocktail hour followed on the club’s porch, right around sunset. A reception followed inside with white linen covered-tables that featured ivory hydrangea arrangements in porcelain vases wrapped in burlap and blue twine. “We didn’t go overboard and our family had fun,” Jennifer said. After dining and dancing the night away, guests indulged in a five-tier white cake adorned with blue and green hydrangeas. “Don’t try to compete, show off or feel you have to go all out,” Jennifer said. What sound advice! See the full board here.
