Her ‘maids donned long royal blue jersey knit dresses with mix-and-match necklines. The groom and groomsmen donned gray suits with various blue patterned neck ties. The pair tied the knot on the resort property in front of 100 family members and friends. The decor consisted of pink and ivory ribbon with hanging glass bulbs filled with pink roses. The aisle was strewn with rose light pink rose petals and marked with mercury glass pails filled with flower arrangements. “I just wanted it to feel romantic. I love the European feel,” Kathy said of their wedding day inspiration. A reception followed inside, where a chalkboard was featured with romantic words and family photos. Guests sat at round tables with white linens in cross-back chairs. Each table had and arrangement of pink roses, white hydrangeas, bupleurum, seeded eucalyptus, and pittosporum, complete with a scripted table number. “We wanted our best friends, live music, great bar and a DJ to close the night with,” Kathy said. “It was a blast!” Guests took a break from the dance floor to enjoy a glamorous white and silver four-tier wedding cake! Kathy’s advice? “It really does go by so fast!!! Make sure you are so prepared that you can enjoy every moment!” See the full board here.

Melissa and Todd were married at Cherry Creek Ranch in Young, Ariz. on April 26. Melissa looked radiant in a v-neck gown with a ruffled back and romantic bow. She wore her hair in a side swept curly ponytail and carried a bouquet of blush roses, succulents, and Queen Anne’s lace. The groom looked handsome in a tan three-piece suit with a mint tie and a feather boutonniere. The pair tied the knot in front of just 50 guests in a barn on Cherry Creek Ranch. “We decided to get married there after doing one of their cattle drives and eating some of the most delicious prime rib we’d ever had,” Melissa said. Guests sat in white folding chairs as the pair exchanged vows in front of a hay wall and a rustic arch made of antlers, gauze, and flowers. The ceremony featured an adorable ring bearer in a khaki suit and a flower girl in a pink tulle dress.  The newlyweds rode off into the sunset on horses after they’d tied the knot. “At first, I thought jumping on a horse was a crazy thing to do in a wedding dress,” Melissa said. “But we were getting married on a ranch in the middle of nowhere and riding off into the sunset is how you say ‘and they lived happily ever after’ in the wild west.”A reception followed at the lodge where guests sat at long banquet tables decorated with white linens, antlers, and boxed floral centerpieces. A game of “I Spy” was placed at each setting for friends and family to play during the reception. They feasted on stuffed chicken and prime rib for dinner, then danced to music from an Arizona country band. A mini-cake and cupcakes sat on a rustic tree slice display adorned with antlers and roses, which the guests enjoyed for dessert. Melissa has three simple rules for couples doing their wedding planning. “Don’t overdo it, don’t sweat the small stuff, and know when to hire a professional.” See the full board here.

Lauren + Anthony: Green and Purple Italian-Inspired Arizona Wedding by Jillian Ryan Photography
Posted by Sarah Title. Filed under Real Weddings

Photos: Photo: Jillian Ryan Photography; Venue: Cibo Urban Pizzeria Cafe; Dress Designer: Galina from David’s Bridal; Bridesmaid Dresses: David’s Bridal; Groom and Groomsmen Attire: Macy’s; Hair Stylist: Jennifer Dew; Makeup Artist: Stephanie Neilheisel; Officiant: Jerry Laurmann

Lauren and Anthony were married at Cibo Urban Pizzeria Cafe in Phoenix, Arizona on April 6. The bride wore a strapless dress with a ruched bodice and a green and purple embroidered sash, her hair in relaxed curls. She carried a bouquet of succulents, mums, baby’s breath and assorted greenery. Her ‘maids donned green floor-length strapless dresses and held bouquets filled with baby’s breath, mums, and daisies. The groom looked dapper in a purple-checkered button-up, paisley tie, and gray vest. His men wore green-checkered button-up shirts with khaki pants. The reason for all the green and purple? “Choosing colors was hard for me, but we decided on purple for our football team back home (The Ravens) and green is Anthony’s favorite color,” Lauren said. The intimate crowd of 75 guests gathered outside to watch Lauren and Anthony exchange their vows, which she says took them just 4 minutes. “That gave us more time to party,” she said. Guests headed off to the outdoor reception at the restaurant where a picture frame doubled as a seating chart, leading them to their seats. Colorful streamers decorated the outdoor area, and guests sat at banquet tables with cafe chairs and wire table numbers, which the bride’s brother made. “We both come from Italian families so we wanted to include that culture in a little bit, with Italian desserts, music, and the dinner,” Lauren said. After enjoying the Italian fare (pizza and pasta, yum!) the guests took advantage of the photo booth, indulged in a two-tiered cake with butter cream frosting, and took home personalized candles as a favor. “Our families mesh so well together, so it was just a big party all day,” Lauren recalled. “Our wedding was intimate, dreamy and so perfect, it could not have gone any better.” See the full board here.
