Kalista + Kyle: A Romantic Eco-Friendly Arts Center Wedding by Sequins & Candy Photography
Posted by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings

Sometimes, it all starts with the dress. Jenny Packham’s ‘Eden’ gown was the main source of inspiration for Kalista and Kyle’s whimsical California wedding, which took place at Sausalito’s Headlands Center for the Arts. The 1920’s-inspired nuptials celebrated Beat poets, library books, a love of beer, and all things eco-friendly—and we couldn’t be more in love with the unique spin on romance. Special thanks to Sequins and Candy Photography for sharing the images with us today! You can find even more details in the complete gallery.

Kalista and Kyle are the ultimate California couple. They met on a sailboat six years before their wedding, and, according to the bride, fell in love almost instantly. “We connected on our mutual craving for adventure,” she says. The playful nature of the pair comes through in her lush painting style and in the uniquely charming details of the session. Did we mention how incredibly beautiful they both are?  They’re radiating some gorgeous inner love light, big time. Get ready to swoon over these photographs styled by Jenna Cantagallo and captured by Amber Gress!

Model/actor Colin served his bride-to-be a refreshing “love potion” cocktail (St. Germain, gin, tonic water, pomegranate seeds, and a mint garnish) in vintage wine glasses hand-dipped in gold by Jenna.  Sarah Dorkin whipped up darling heart shaped cookies to satisfy the couple’s sweet tooth, and Kelly of 2h Flowers peppered their vintage chic tablescape with aster and gomphrena blooms. A self-professed style maven, Masha complimented her ravishing red, flamenco-style frock with gilded flower bobby pins and her stunning cluster engagement ring.

Love + Merriment
Posted by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings, Things we heart

Today, I’m wishing you the merriest of holidays… time with family, good food, rest, relaxation, and most of all love.  When Ana sent me this video of her wedding, I was completely won over by the sweet sentiment of the day.  Merry, festive and full of love.  Ana and Vitto, two artistic types in Bulgaria, married this past summer… they went for alternative over tradition and the keepsake video is just too charming.  I promise.. it’ll make you feel all warm and fuzzy.
