* Preppy Bahamian Real Wedding by Jenelle Kappe
Posted on July 31st, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings.
We’re so excited to share the grande finale of Kristin and Broen’s amazing wedding weekend with you! Following their gorgeous meet and greet and fabulous rehearsal dinner, Broen suited up in the perfect navy blue suit and pink tie, Kristin donned an exquisite, all-lace Elizabeth Fillmore gown and the two tied the knot oceanside. The perfect mix of beachiness and preppiness, we’re in love with every single photo by Jenelle Kappe Photography.
Those colors… so gorgeous against the white sand! Kristin’s single bridesmaid wore a fuchsia, resort-style Trina Turk gown. The tailored, colorful menswear was purchased from Klein, Epstein and Parker, and the gorgeous florals by Little Island Design tied everything together. At the end of a conch shell-lined aisle, Kristin and Broen took vows under a rustic, ocean driftwood archway.
This spot on Harbour Island is incredible. After the ceremony, guests migrated into the Blue Bar at the Pink Sands Resort for an indoor/outdoor reception. The evening was capped off with a cascade of pristine orchids down a stunning cake and a dreamy sky lantern release.

* Rehearsal Dinner: Bahama Style!

Kristin and Broen’s wedding weekend continues! For the rehearsal dinner, everyone headed over to the Rock House Hotel for a meal together. Broen’s family fancied up the party with all sorts of incredible details like handmade place cards, sailboats, and candleholders. Of course, Jenelle Kappe was there in action capturing the sights and that adorable couple with their million dollar smiles and fresh, beachy style.

I’m so impressed by those gorgeous tabletops! The sea glass is so pretty, and an exquisite alternative to floral centerpieces. Up next.. the wedding!

* Real Wedding Sneak Peek: A Meet and Greet
Posted on July 27th, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Destination Weddings.
Next week’s real wedding is not just a one-day affair, but an entire weekend of gorgeous in the Bahamas. I thought that we’d kick off this weekend with a peek at Kristin and Broen’s inaugaral wedding event: A meet ‘n greet on the beach! Kristin’s parents hosted the gathering at the Bimini Cottage at Pink Sands Resort; the fabulous Jenelle Kappe was in residence to capture the wedding weekend- start to finish!

I just LOVE that pic of them kissing… and what a perfectly stylish party… from the pillows to the lanterns to Kristin’s beach-perfect maxi. Guests shared hors d’oeuvres and cocktails and got cozy for a weekend of fun. The party continued well into the night, and shifted from the cottage to the beach, where Ben from Little Island Design had a gorgeous bon-fire lounge waiting. This is just the start… but it’s all that I’ll reveal until Monday! Head back here next week to see Kristin and Broen’s exquisite rehearsal dinner and beautiful wedding…. and in the meantime… have a perfect summer weekend ♥

* Blissful Beach Wedding in the Bahamas by Paper Antler
Posted on June 19th, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Destination Weddings, Real Weddings.
Who doesn’t love a glorious destination wedding with sun-shining, wind-blowing goodness?! Once engaged, Lindsay and Joey knew they wanted a destination wedding, since they love to travel and see new places. A trip to Nassau was one of the first they took together, and the memory of the incredible scenery drew them back for their wedding day. The simple palette and natural backdrop of aquamarine ocean created such fresh-feeling photos; I can practically feel the sand beneath my toes! Thanks to one of my very favorite photography duos, Paper Antler, the pure love between Lindsay and Joey just shines right thru the screen.
Lindsay wore a stunning La Sposa gown with a ruffled skirt. Her maids wore sweet chiffon dresses in neutral taupe by The Dessy Group. The soft palette and simple styling complemented the breathtaking seascape.
The couple wed on a long dock, extending into the ocean at Compass Point Beach Resort. April in Nassau is beautiful, sunny but not yet too hot. That particular day was extra windy, blowing Lindsay’s cathedral length veil like crazy. The pics below are so. gorgeous!
Seventy guests joined them for the weekend to enjoy the sites and sounds of the Bahamas, from relaxing on a five-hour cruise one day to dancing along to steel drums the next!
All the best to this gorgeous couple!
