Shannon and Cale were married at the Douglas Manor in Columbiana, Ala. on December 1.  ”I wanted my wedding to look like my parents’ house at Christmas,” Shannon said. “My parents also had a December wedding, so I knew I always wanted one too.” She wore a halter mermaid wedding gown, accessorized with her hair down in loose curls, while her ‘maids wore long silver dresses with ruffled necklines. Floral arrangements featured peonies, hydrangeas, brunia balls, and dusty millers. The outdoor sunset ceremony was held before a fireplace decorated with a wreath, ornaments, and candles. Inside, the reception was decorated with branch centerpieces and hanging orbs. Guests’ favorite part? The candy buffet, assorted mini cakes, and chocolate chip cookies and milk shooters. Heather + Ben: A Classic Black-Tie Lakeside Spring Minnesota Wedding By Mad Chicken Studio
Posted by czentgraf. Filed under Real Weddings

Photos: Mad Chicken Studio

Four generations of women in Heather’s family married in Duluth, Minnesota and even though the couple lived on the East Coast, they wanted to follow this tradition. “Ultimately, my parents were thrilled that we were able to celebrate together in a city that means so much to my family’s history,” Heather said. While planning the wedding, she had anticipated the weather to be closer to 70 or 80 degrees, but shockingly, it turned out to be balmy 45 degrees! Luckily, Heather stole her sister’s white fur bolero to keep warm. She also wore pearl-studded flats by Kate Spade, an heirloom Oleg Cassini wedding gown, and a J.Crew statement necklace. Each bridesmaid wore a black cocktail dress that best defined her personal style and personality while groomsmen wore black tuxedos and bow ties. The ceremony took place in front of 120 guests overlooking Lake Superior, and the reception was held in a tent filled with candles, moss, and succulents. The best part? The cake. “I will dream of this cake for the rest of my life,” she said. And the 17-piece band that played jazz and blues tunes throughout the night. See the full board here.

Ally + Jason: A Formal Candlelit Georgia Arts Center Wedding By My Life Photography
Posted by czentgraf. Filed under Real Weddings

Photos: My Life Photography

From the groom’s facial expression during the first look, you can tell he’s in love with his bride. Ally and Jason were married at King Plows Art Center in Atlanta, Ga. in a room entirely lit by candles along the aisles and on the fireplace mantle. Not to mention the brick wall backdrop too! Ally accessorized her beaded sweetheart wedding gown with a full net veil and bouquet of monochromatic roses, bridesmaids wore long black dresses, and the groom and his groomsmen wore a bow tie and ties, respectively, and calla lily and dusty miller boutonnieres. In lieu of escort cards, seating arrangements were displayed in frames. Clusters of paper lanterns hung above banquet tables of hydrangeas, sparkles, and patterned linens. Ally surprised Jason with a groom’s cake of his favorite football team — the Florida Gators, in addition to their monogrammed square cake, they performed their first dance to Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up,” and guests waved sparklers as they exited the reception. Molly + Michael: A Romantic Candlelit Mississippi Private Estate Wedding By Danny K. Photography

Molly and Michael met a local bar in college. “I was working, doing the marketing for the band, Rocky Mountain Rhythm Blues. My girlfriend was with me, and he was with his roommate,” Molly said. “I ended up dating Michael, and she ended up dating his roommate. We were married last August, and our friends got married in March of this year.” The couple decided to have a fall wedding at home that was shabby chic. Molly wore an Augusta Jones lace illusion neckline wedding gown and “something blue” suede stilettos, and bridesmaids wore platinum convertible twist gray dresses and coral necklaces. Michael went eco-friendly with his succulent boutonniere. Guests were surprised to see Molly’s grand entrance during the processional. She arrived in a Model T car with her father. Vintage elements were incorporated into the reception decor. Tables were draped in ivory silk shantung and velvet patterned lace. Their monogrammed initials were showcased too — on cups, the dance floor, and even koozie favors. They performed their first dance to Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight,’ and ended the night with cutting the Ole Miss-inspired basketball court groom’s cake and a sparkler send-off.
