* Fresh & Modern D.C. Real Wedding by Abby Jiu Photography
Posted on June 25th, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings.
Sara and Mark’s modern, Washington, D.C. wedding reflected their love of family, travel and our nation’s capitol! Held at an old car showroom-turned-art-gallery, we’re reveling in the unique contrast of natural elements with an urban industrial setting. Sara and Mark could’ve cared less about executing some theme or color palette, but rather, they focused on hosting a warm, comfortable and fun party for their nearest and dearest. It’s just a total bonus that the contemporary florals, fabulous paper goods and amazing venue make this wedding so fresh! A special thanks to the incredibly talented Abby Jiu for sharing these photos with us!
Sara and Mark started dating just before Mark was sent to California and Naples, Italy for his work with the Navy. Their long distance relationship persevered as a result of a strong foundation (they had been friends for years in law school), dozens of trips to each coast and to Italy, and daily phone calls. Plus, it’s pretty clear they’re made for each other. Doesn’t Sara just glow in her Lela Rose gown and pretty pulled-back hairstyle?
The Longview Gallery in D.C. made for an extraordinary venue; natural light surrounded them as they said their vows. The couple made it a priority to support some of their favorite local businesses during the course of their planning. They also drew inspiration from Naples, Italy- where they spent lots of time together while Mark was stationed overseas.
The reception was warm and celebratory; the gallery glowed with candlelight. Now that’s what we call a modern classic.
Be sure to check out the rest of this fabulous wedding here!

* Trendy Desert Wedding by Gideon Photography

Lacey and Easton are a hip and stylin’ pair and their spring wedding in St. George, Utah, was a total reflection of them. The day was filled to the brim with vibrant color and modern details like succulents, custom typography, a personalized monogram, and more. We couldn’t be more happy to share their fabulous, trendy album by Gideon Photography!
We really can’t get over the brilliant florals by Bloomers. They set the tone for a truly vibrant day in the desert. The wedding party was dressed in soft neutrals, which complemented the wow floral palette, red earthen desert, and incredible blue sky.

The amazing design work of Kortney Eggertz could be found throughout the day… in the signage, wedding programs, menus, place settings and favors! All of the paper goods showcased the custom typography and monogram that she created especially for Lacey and Easton. Meanwhile, Forevermore Events ensured that everything was in its perfect place and the day went off without a hitch.

Perhaps one of our favorite parts of this modern wedding? The cake- an amazing creation by Blanca’s Designer Cakes! We’re in love with the gorgeous ripples on each tier and the ruffly sugar flower accent.
Don’t miss the rest of Lacey and Easton’s color-filled day in our real wedding gallery!

* A Modern Wedding at The Oregon Golf Club by Falcusan Photography
Posted on April 10th, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings.
Watch out… this one is a total stunner! Danny and Lori celebrated their modern romance in contemporary style at The Oregon Golf Club in West Linn, a town just south of Portland. I’m gushing over the pink peonies and chic décor. In Lori’s words, “The day was a dream come true, unfolding right before our eyes. I would not have changed anything. I married my best friend.” Here is their story in photos by Falcusan Photography:

The couple married in front of a modern wall installation filled with daisies, then celebrated inside a glammed-up tent on the grounds of the club. How gorgeous are those crystal embellished vases and that rhinestone encrusted cake?!

That’s a whole lotta wow. Happiest wishes to Danny and Lori and a big thanks to Marius and Adriana Falcusan for sharing these incredible photos with us!

* Ravishing Multicultural Soirée in the Twin Cities by Photogen Inc.

What a gorgeous Real Wedding of the Week we have for you! Jenny and Aashish blended two cultures in a ravishing, radiant ceremony and reception in Minneapolis. We’re just loving the contemporary portraits and radiant details, captured by Photogen Inc.
The couple wanted to integrate both of their cultures, religions and backgrounds into the day. To do this, they incorporated rich and elegant Indian details into Jenny’s Midwest scene. Aashish wore traditional Indian attire, while Jenny wore a gown by David’s Bridal, paired with a red scarf and gold bangles.

Cranberry reds and vibrant yellows bloomed brightly in the bouquets. Pazzobello did an incredible job capturing the couple’s vision in the florals and décor.
Two officiants helped to unify their backgrounds into a memorable and completely unique ceremony. Jenny and Aashish sat under an exquisite mandap, also designed by Pazzobella.
The reception was clean and modern. Simple black and white linens provided a foundation for exotic florals, and a marvel of a cake by D’Amico and Sons.

Oh, but there’s lots more to see… Enjoy the full story and album in the {Gallery}!
Many thanks to the talented Eliesa at Photogen; and a big congratulations to Jenny + Aashish!
