Pam and John were married at Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield, Mass. on October 5. ”We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect fall day,” Pam said. “The foliage was at its peak with oranges, reds and yellows made all the more brilliant against a slightly overcast sky.” The bride wore a sweetheart chiffon wedding gown with a ruched bodice, accessorized with her hair half-up/half-down in loose curls, while the groom wore a black suit, accessorized with a bow tie and Vans tennis shoes. Bridesmaids wore long blue dresses and carried bouquets of dahlias.”We had our cocktail hour before the ceremony,” she said. “John and I were both there to greet guests and to signify it was truly going to be just one big party. The cocktail hour turned into a ‘cocktail half-hour’ as rain began to threaten.” An altar was fashioned from birch branches as well as programs with leaf motifs for the outdoor ceremony. ”As I walked down the aisle to the beginning of ‘Jungleland’ by Bruce Springsteen, the rain started to fall, but no one really noticed,” Pam said.  ”We wanted a casual feel to it all – while still in dresses and suits. We kept calling the wedding country chic! It was important that our personalities also showed – that it felt like only a wedding we could’ve thrown.” All 134 guests were escorted to their seats via cards displayed on vintage shutters. Inside the reception tent, tables were decorated with wooden box centerpieces, fun fact numbers, and votive candles. “Our guests danced and ate and drank for hours,” she said. “The shortened cocktail hour created a longer party! And a party it was, as I had directed to play no song longer than 2 minutes. That kept the energy and excitement up!” In lieu of a traditional cake, nostalgic desserts such as Hershey’s chocolate kisses and Hostess’ cupcakes were served. Plus, apples doubled as favors! Domonique and Aaron were married at V6 Ranch in Parkfield, Calif. last summer. “The location where we were married was close to our hearts for a few reasons,” Domonique said. “We had family and friends in both Northern and Southern California, and this was an area both could drive to. We wanted a place where people could escape from their daily lives and enjoy the moment.” The bride wore a v-neck fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown, accessorized with a black floral sash and birdcage veil, while the groom wore a seersucker jacket, black pants, and a navy blue tie. “Our approach was very do it yourself,” she said. “We were fortunate to have talented friends and family who pitched in and made the wedding beautiful.”The maid of honor designed all of the bouquets and boutonnieres, which included air plants, dusty millers, anemones, ranunculuses, and feathers. Guests sat on bales of of hay to watch the outdoor ceremony. How unique are their wedding bands? As the reception followed, so did the toast. Everyone recited, “The taste of love is sweet when hearts like ours meet.” with mason jars and customized horseshoe shot glasses. Dinner was served family-style at long tables in a U-shaped configuration with pews draped in cowhide, pies were dessert, and the first dance was performed to “That’s How Strong Our Love Is” by Otis Redding. Ashley and Aaron were married at The Smith Ranch in Orlando, Fla. on November 9. The couple first met in college. ”It all started with a sticky note he left for me asking for my phone number,” Abby said. “He was such a gentleman and so career-motivated, which was very refreshing.” They originally wanted a church wedding, but decided to have an outdoor wedding to be where they spent a lot of time fishing, hunting, and having cookouts. Aisles were decorated with hay bales, burlap, and lots of baby’s breath. The bride wore a strapless ballgown with a lace bodice, accessorized with her loose blonde curls half-up/half-down, while the groom wore a white-button down shirt, dark washed jeans, and a black blazer. Bridesmaids wore dresses in neutral shades that they chose themselves along with cowboy boots! The reception followed with their first dance to “Me and You” by Kenny Chesney. Fun fact: the wedding cake topper was also used at Abby’s parent’s wedding! See the full board here.
