Alexis and Andrew were married at Castle Falls in Oklahoma City, Okla. on December 21. “Andrew and I are always laughing together and couldn’t imagine spending our lives without each other,” Alexis said. “We have been so blessed that we have been able to grow up together, and even more blessed that we get to continue growing together.” The bride wore a sweetheart mermaid wedding gown with a beaded bodice, accessorized with a faux fur bolero, while the groom wore a black suit, accessorized with velvet bow tie. “I wanted something classy and vintage-inspired, and I wanted my bouquet to look as though I went outside and picked the flowers out of a field,” she said. Despite a massive ice storm the morning of the wedding, all of 70 guests arrived safe and sound to see the couple say, “I do” in front of a fireplace. “After the ceremony, we went outside and took pictures,” Alexis said. “The freeze made them absolutely that much more stunning.” Cocktail hour began with a hot chocolate stand complete with peppermints, marshmallows, whipped cream, and cinnamon. Plus, customized cup holders! “Andrew and I wanted pictures displayed, so my grandpa built a frame, and we put our baby pictures on it.,” she said. “He put so much time into it, and it is something I will have forever.” Tables were decorated with all-white linens, tall mercury glass candelabra centerpieces, and “anything that revolved around natural colors and a winter theme,” Alexis said. Thought grandpa was the only one to make something? Wrong. Grandma made the naked cake decorated with fresh fruits. The Mr. and Mrs. “happily ever after” ended with a birdseed toss send-off. “It was such a perfect and special day,” she said. “We wanted to stay and spend time with our family, but our honeymoon in Washington D.C. awaited.” See the full board here.
