Kristen + John: A Preppy Pale Blue And Green Virginia Country Club Wedding By Cramer Photo

Kristen and John met during their junior year at University of Virginia (Go Cavaliers!). “Our routine was to spend Saturdays going on fun adventures around Charlottesville. Hikes, brewery tours, wine tastings, eating out, scenic drives — you name it,” Kristen said. It’s no wonder that they chose a Southern preppy theme for their summer wedding at Farmington Country Club. Bridesmaids wore pale blue dresses while groomsmen wore seersucker bow ties and monogrammed cummerbunds. Kristen accessorized her Paloma Blanca lace bodice wedding gown with a pair of peep-toe kitten heels (She added homemade bows) and her mother’s heirloom veil. “It was more beautiful than anything I ever saw in a store, and it was so special to be able to wear it,” she said. One of their favorite moments was during the cocktail hour. “Hot air balloons floated over the venue,” Kristen said. Children were kept busy with hula hoops, bubbles, and even colored paper and pencils at dinner, so that the adults could enjoy themselves too. See the full board here.
