Halleh and Freeman were married at Scripps Park followed by a reception at Admiral Baker Clubhouse in San Diego, Calif. on August 3. ”Freeman grew up as a surfer in Santa Cruz, California and I have never lived away from the Pacific Ocean,” Halleh said. “We both feel incredibly connected to the water so when we thought of Scripps Park as a ceremony venue we were sold.” The bride wore a sweetheart ruffled ball gown, accessorized with sky-high peep-toe pumps with just the right amount of shimmer. ”I let the bridesmaids chose their own dresses,” she said. “All I asked is that they bought something blush and that they felt beautiful. Luckily, it worked out to be a beautiful bouquet of dresses and the shades really went well together!” Lots of details were DIY, including the driftwood arch the couple said, “I do” under, which was handmade by the bride’s sister and brother-in-law and potted succulent favors, which were planted by the bride months before the wedding, then creating the favor tags using a stamp and yarn. ”I wanted to create an environment that was not only a fun, beautiful event for our guests, but was very intimate and personal,” Halleh said. Lisa + Adam: A Rustic Blush Mountainside Georgia Resort Wedding By Brio Art

After five years of dating, Lisa and Adam decided to make it official at The Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa with the Blue Ridge Mountains as their backdrop. The bride wore a Casablanca Couture gown with a sweetheart neckline whereas bridesmaids wore an array of different colored pink dresses they chose themselves. “For the bridesmaids, I wanted their bouquets to literally be in their hair, so they carried eucalyptus and loaded their hair with flowers,” Lisa said. As guests arrived to the ceremony, cold water was offered in beverage dispensers and straw fans to beat the heat. They couldn’t help but notice the “Cowabunga” sign as they found their seats. “We are both HUGE Mountain Dew drinkers and have been since we were kids,” she said. “So, during our vows, to everyone’s surprise, when we said ‘I do’ we each took a swig of Mountain Dew! So, really we said ‘I DEW!” Cocktail hour featured lawn games such as corn hole and giant jenga. Reception tables were decorated with table numbers made by the bride’s grandmother, and mason jars used as lighting vessels hung from the high beamed ceiling. In lieu of a guest book, Lisa’s dad created a canvas, where each guest could paint a portion. The newlyweds now have it showcased in their home. See the full board here.

Mony + Lionel: A Cheerful Eco-Friendly Yellow California Villa Wedding By Melvin Gilbert Photography

Mony and Lionel first met on eHarmony. “The first year we enjoyed each other’s company, discovering new restaurants together and going to concerts — we share a love for R&B and hip hop music,” Mony said. “We just had this connection, and we laughed all the time. As they say, the rest is history.” They were married in September at Villa del Sol in Fullerton, Calif. The bride’s vintage-inspired look included a side updo, bright red lips and kitten heels. Bridesmaids wore long yellow chiffon dresses with asymmetrical necklines, and groomsmen wore gray suits with personalized Chuck Taylor sneakers. With the help of family and friends, the floral arrangements were made. But “we wanted to keep the decor simple since Villa del Sol already had all this greenery and great architecture,” she said. Reception tables featured lanterns atop tree bark, and “let love bloom” potted succulents were given as favors. See the full board here.
