About the couple:

Atiq and Vanessa met while salsa dancing at a venue in Arvada, CO.  Atiq is from Pakistan (where he bought her gorgeous ring) and Vanessa is from Utah.  They both landed in Colorado for work.  Vanessa is a flight attendant/ceramicist and Atiq is a computer guy/animal lover.  Vanessa says that they couldn’t be more opposite, but that they are better for it!  The couple decided to marry themselves by exchanging personal vows at a park in Denver, CO.  Afterward, they had a picnic, complete with champagne and a mini wedding cake topped with Italian cream cheese frosting!  To end the romantic afternoon, the couple took a carriage ride.  Atiq and Vanessa honeymooned in Argentina…. and they lived happily ever after.♥

Did you know that a couple can ‘marry themselves’ in Colorado?… as in, without an officiant.  How cool is that?  I actually really like the idea.  Vanessa and Atiq did just that– take a peak at part one of their adorable elopement and picnic in Denver, Colorado.   This cute wedding was photographed by Melissa of Fresh In Love Photography.
