Nicole and Drew were married at In the Garden in Jacksonville, Fla. on March 30. Nicole stunned in a strapless blush tulle ball gown and a statement floral necklace. She softly curled her red hair and opted for a ballet length veil. She carried a bouquet of white fabric roses. Her best girls looked glamorous in fitted gold sequined dresses. The groom looked handsome in a gray suit and black neck tie, while his men were clad in gray dress pants and blush bow ties.  The pair exchanged vows outside in front of an altar made from birch trees and it was adorned with vintage lace and garden roses. A reception followed on the patio. “We wanted our wedding to be so “us”. In our free time we are thrift store fanatics & flea market freaks,” Nicole said of her decor inspiration. “I thrifted all of our decor for over a year.” The reception tables featured striped taper candlesticks and pillar candles displayed in mix-n-match brass holders. The space was filled with romantic candles of every kind, as well as string lights. “Nothing is more romantic to me than being surrounded by the soft glow of candles.” Guests used cocktail napkins with the phrase “I’ll drink to that” printed on them. The guests enjoyed dinner, a photo booth, and a three-tier white-frosted cake adorned with blush peonies. The couple gave out coffee and tea as favors to their guests as a way to thank them. “At the end of the day you are marrying the person you love, that’s what it’s all about. Not the champagne and caviar- just true love,” Nicole said. See the full board here.

Bank; Florist: Mama Flowers; Officiant: Dave Gonzales; Rentals: Prestige Party Rentals; Caterer: Great Events Catering; Band: Dave Herzog & the Island Time Band; Band: Dave Herzog & the Island Time Band; Cake: Key West Cakes

Morgan and Matthew were married at The Hemingway Home in Key West, Fla. on May 4. The bride stunned in a strapless a-line gown. She wore her hair in a wavy partial updo and carried a bouquet of ivory roses, white lisianthus, soft pink peonies, and orchids. The groom looked dapper in a gray three-piece suit and a cream-colored neck tie. “The Hemingway Home just has the perfect setting for a small, intimate garden wedding,” Morgan said. The intimate crowd of 23 guests looked on as Morgan and Matthew exchanged vows in front of an arch covered in palm leaves and snap dragons. The welcome table featured photos of the couple throughout the years and notes they had written to one another. In lieu of a traditional guestbook, the couple asked guests to sign the perimeter of a beautiful picture. “Since we planned the wedding from a thousand miles away, we had no idea how anything would turn out,” Morgan said. After the knot was tied, guests gathered at one long banquet table covered in white linens, a chevron table runner, and floral centerpieces. Each guest was greeted by an animal-themed place card. Family and friends received Key West-themed tumblers and Key Lime cookies as favors. After dinner, everyone enjoyed a simple cake featuring a caricature of the bride and groom as the topper. The couple was incredibly happy with the way their wedding day turned out. “We were super lucky, the food, cake, linens, flowers, music, photography all turned out fantastic,” Morgan said. Laura + Danny: Romantic Red Fall Wedding in Florida by Soltren Photography
Posted by Sarah Title. Filed under Real Weddings

Photos: Soltren PhotographyCeremony Venue: Leu Gardens; Florist: Peddles; Tuxedo: Men’s Wearhouse; Harpist: Kathleen with Harps Unlimited; Bride’s Gown: David’s BridalHair and Makeup: About Face Design Team; Reception Venue: Ceviche Tapas Bar and Restaurant; First Dance on a Cloud & Market Lighting: Our DJ Rocks; Cake: Cut the Cake

Laura and Danny were married in Leu Gardens, followed by a reception at Ceviche Tapas Bar and Restaurant in Orlanda, Fla. on October 11. The bride looked lovely in a fitted lace gown with a keyhole back. She wore her hair in a twisted low updo accessorized with a pearl pin and she donned red lipstick for the occasion. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses, pink cymbidium orchids, and snapdragons. Her sister wore a ruffled red floor-length gown as her bridesmaid.  Her groom and his best man wore black tuxedos, Danny opted for a light blue bow tie while his best man wore red. The ceremony featured Laura’s 7-year-old daughter as the flower girl in a white dress with a red sash. A harpist played Canon in D as Laura walked down the aisle with her father. Only family attended the ceremony. “It was a warm sunny day in October, the guests were given parasols during the ceremony which looked beautiful in the pictures,” Laura said. After becoming husband and wife, the newlyweds held the reception at a local Spanish tapas restaurant where friends joined the celebration. During the cocktail hour a Spanish guitarist played. The round tables featured romantic centerpieces of roses and votive candles. “I tried to keep my wedding as simple as possible,” Laura said. “The less you have going on – the less you have to worry about, and the more you can enjoy your day!” Guests enjoyed traditional Spanish cuisine such as paella among other delicious items. The dessert was a three-tier cake adorned with red roses, as well as a candy bar which guests could load up on for the ride home. We recommend taking Laura’s realistic advice! “No matter how much planning you do, something will not go the way you expected. My advice is to realize that now, so that you will be mentally prepared and not let it ruin your day.” See the full board here.

Danielle + Justin: An Evening City-esque Fall Florida Resort Wedding By Minerva Photography
Posted by Sarah Title. Filed under Real Weddings

Photos: Minerva PhotographyCeremony Venue: Turnberry Isle ResortReception Venue: Aventura Lakes Clubhouse

Danielle and Justin were married in on the rooftop of Turnberry Isle Resort followed by a reception at Aventura Lakes Clubhouse in Miami, Fla. on November 7. The bride wore not one but two outfits — a strapless satin drop-waisted wedding gown with a beaded bodice, accessorized with a floor-length veil, and a long lace maxi dress with an illusion hemline, while the groom wore a black suit, accessorized with a solid tie. Bridesmaids wore short mix ‘n’ matched dresses and carried bouquets of paper origami flowers. How do-it-yourself is that? The evening ceremony’s aisle was lined with floating candle vases, sheer ribbons across the backs of folding chairs, and a chuppah, which was held by close family and friends. Following the exchanging of vows and rings (and most importantly, the signing of the ketub, a Jewish marriage license, guests were escorted to the ballroom. Tables were decorated with white linens, tall floral centerpieces atop mirrors, and challah, elaborately braided bread that is used to bless the dinner. Dancing continued throughout the night, but it wasn’t complete without a hora. The newlyweds were hoisted up high above the crowd onto chairs to the infectious sounds of the “Hava Nagila.” If that wasn’t enough entertainment, there was also the cutting of the five-tiered square fondant cake featuring a crystal chandelier topper. As if they needed more sweets, mini dessert shot glasses were passed out as late night snacks too. See the full board here.
