Matching Your Wedding Colors to Your Venue
Posted by Sarah Zlotnick. Filed under Color Palettes, Wedding Inspiration

Once you’ve booked your venue, it’s time to pick your color scheme! You’ll want to take into account the setting of your venue, the time of year your wedding is taking place, and how formal or informal your ceremony and reception will be. To help inspire you, we’ve paired five of our current favorite palettes with the venues we think they work best with. Enjoy!

Historic Home: Yellow + Gray

Done in muted shades, these modern colors beautifully compliment a historical reception space. Photos by OneLove Photography.

Garden: Mint + Blush

Ballroom: Silver/Gold + White

Nothing says classic elegance quite like one of these timeless combos. If you’re having a formal reception, precious metals offset with white are a timeless way to go. Photo by Lane Dittoe Photography.

Beach: Navy Blue + Green

Sarah and Dan’s mutual friends set up multiple group outings in order to introduce the pair. Their match-making instincts were on point—Dan proposed just ten short months after the couple’s first date! “We instantly clicked,” says Sarah. Dan proposed at the historic Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, so they sought out a location with a similar history and feel.  They found it at River Oaks Garden Club. A florist by trade, Sarah’s mother made all the bouquets and boutonnieres for the day.
