Nicole and Drew were married at In the Garden in Jacksonville, Fla. on March 30. Nicole stunned in a strapless blush tulle ball gown and a statement floral necklace. She softly curled her red hair and opted for a ballet length veil. She carried a bouquet of white fabric roses. Her best girls looked glamorous in fitted gold sequined dresses. The groom looked handsome in a gray suit and black neck tie, while his men were clad in gray dress pants and blush bow ties.  The pair exchanged vows outside in front of an altar made from birch trees and it was adorned with vintage lace and garden roses. A reception followed on the patio. “We wanted our wedding to be so “us”. In our free time we are thrift store fanatics & flea market freaks,” Nicole said of her decor inspiration. “I thrifted all of our decor for over a year.” The reception tables featured striped taper candlesticks and pillar candles displayed in mix-n-match brass holders. The space was filled with romantic candles of every kind, as well as string lights. “Nothing is more romantic to me than being surrounded by the soft glow of candles.” Guests used cocktail napkins with the phrase “I’ll drink to that” printed on them. The guests enjoyed dinner, a photo booth, and a three-tier white-frosted cake adorned with blush peonies. The couple gave out coffee and tea as favors to their guests as a way to thank them. “At the end of the day you are marrying the person you love, that’s what it’s all about. Not the champagne and caviar- just true love,” Nicole said. See the full board here.

Laura and Brian were married at Firestone Vineyards in Los Olivos, Calif. on June 21. Laura stunned in a v-neck embroidered lace gown and a relaxed curly updo. She carried a colorful bouquet of pink, peach, and ivory peonies and garden roses. Her ‘maids donned mix ‘n’ match dresses in various shades of pink and purple. The groom and his men looked handsome in gray suits and champagne neck ties. “Our wedding was inspired by the beauty of the Vineyard itself,” Laura said. “We wanted to use the natural surroundings as much as possible, and only enhance them when we felt we could.” The 125 guests sipped on sangria as they waited for the ceremony to begin. The aisle was strewn with petals and white folding chairs were set up for family members and friends. “Our ceremony was short, but perfect and we had the perfect view overlooking the rolling vineyards when we shared our first kiss,” Laura said of their first moment and husband and wife. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the Barrel Room at the vineyard. A reception followed on the patio, where family members and friends looked to chalkboard wood slices to find their seats. The patio featured round tables covered in sparkly blush linens, gold candles, and a floral centerpiece that matched the bride’s bouquet. Dinner and dancing followed, as well as a dessert table featuring the bride’s favorite sweets. Laura’s advice? Trust your vendors! “Trust everyone you hired, because you chose them for a reason,” she said. “I still cannot believe how talented each and every vendor was that I worked with.” See the full board here.

Samantha and Daniel were married at the Hermann-Grima House in New Orleans, La. on October 27. Samantha looked radiant in a strapless drop waist gown with a ruffled skirt. Her hair was down in soft waves and she carried a gold metallic brooch bouquet. The groom looked handsome in a classic black tuxedo. “We were inspired for a destination wedding in New Orleans during a trip there,” Samantha explained. Samantha and Daniel tied the knot at the historic house in the french quarter, in front of just 50 guests. Following the ceremony, friends and family participated in a local tradition known as a second line parade. The march is a celebration of the bride and groom and includes a jazz band! Guests waved screen printed handkerchiefs, which were a gift from the newlyweds to their guests. “October is a beautiful time to visit New Orleans,” Samantha said. “Our wedding day was the classic example of that.” A reception followed in the courtyard of the historic home. Guests sat at long banquet tables which boasted gold and blue place settings and wine bottle table numbers. Dinner consisted of traditional Louisiana fare and featured shrimp and grits, beef short ribs, and redfish. The couple shared their first dance together and enjoyed a single-tier white cake adorned with gold dots and a personalized topper. Chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were also served. The couple was extremely pleased with their whole celebration. “We knew we wouldn’t want to hold our wedding anywhere else,” Samantha said. See the full board here.

Taryn + Troy: A Glamorous Purple and Gold Fall Louisiana Ballroom Wedding By Arte De Vie

Taryn and Troy were married at Royal Sonesta Hotel New Orleans in New Orleans, La. on October 12. “The inspiration for my wedding really just came from my love of shiny things!” Taryn said. “A lot of our guests traveled from near and far for the wedding, so we wanted to make sure they got the true New Orleans experience. Seven months later, we are still hearing guests say how much they loved NOLA and how they plan to go back. I think having the wedding located in a centralized location like Bourbon Street was key.” The bride wore a sweetheart ball gown with a floral applique bodice, accessorized with a hair half-up/half-down in loose curls, while the groom wore a a two-tone dark gray and black suit, accessorized with a solid tie. Bridesmaids wore long silk purple one-shoulder dresses and carried bouquets of roses, ranunculuses, and pincushions. The candlelit ceremony took place inside the ballroom with 175 of their closest family and friends. Fun fact: Troy’s uncle officiated! “The best thing I did was requesting to see my reception room before the doors were opened to guests,” she said. “I had such a vision in my head of what I wanted to be that I wanted to soak it in before it was touched by anyone. Let me tell you, my breathe was literally taken away! The doors opened and as I stood there . . . I couldn’t believe it was all right in front of me.” Reception tables were decorated with sequin linens, tall centerpieces, street names, and ghost chairs. “I thought my heart was going to be dead set on my favorite bakery in New Orleans, but to my surprise the hotel did a far better job of the presentation and flavor of the cake!” Taryn said. At the end of the night, the newlyweds enjoyed a Second Line parade complete with a brass band and parasols. See the full board here.
