Editor’s Weekly Wrap-Up: Bow Ties, Vintage Engagement Rings, Tulips, Lavender, Ice Cream, and Romantic Styled Shoot
Posted by Sarah Title. Filed under fashion, Flowers, Jewelry

It’s that time of week again! Here are some of our editor’s favorite boards and ideas that you may have missed:

Bow TiesWhich would you rather have your grooms wear: a tie, a bow tie, or no tie at all? Our Fashion Editor Sarah says go preppy!

Vintage Engagement RingsThese one-of-a-kind engagement rings are a blast from the past. Think: The Great Gatsby era.

Tulips & Lavender  - April showers bring May flowers like these spring blooms. Did you know that lavender can help sooth your nerves? And has a unique fragrance? No perfume needed!

We All Scream For Ice CreamServe your favorite flavors and toppings as a late night, refreshing snack. Everyone will want to cool down from grooving to the music on the dance floor, right?

Mandala of Romance Styled ShootThe inspiration behind this styled shoot came from a mandala, which is a circular symbol used in Eastern traditions, depicted in artwork, or in the form of an offering. From there, a realm of iridescent lace, coral peonies, soft-peach garden roses, violet sweet peas, and a sea foam velvet gown followed.

Color + Culture: A Styled Wedding Shoot by Jen Huang and Poppies & Posies
Posted by Kate. Filed under Photography, Wedding Inspiration

A few weeks ago, I headed to Malibu to hang out with Jen Huang and a group of her fabulous workshop attendees.  Naturally, on the docket was a gorgeous little photoshoot with some of the best creatives around:  Poppies & Posies, My Sweet and Saucy, and Paperfinger.  What a dream…

Inspired by color, culture, and art… here’s a peek at the shoot, but the full gallery of photos can be found here.Aude and Gilles are a darling couple… full of love and affection.  Aude was styled in simple, flowing Ivy & Aster dress {Via Lovely Bride} and an amazing boho-chic headpiece by Jennifer Behr.  Gilles looked so handsome in a bowtie by BoutaughAude makes such an incredibly pretty bride.  Jess Wilcox styled her soft waves and vibrant red lipstick to complement the relaxed, colorful setting.  (Definitely a pinworthy look)!  Below: the table spread.  Paperfinger calligraphed menus and table numbers inside organic, watercolor frames.  The centerpiece overflowed with colorful florals, including big bright peonies and golden ranunculus. Just can’t get enough of that rich palette!

The afternoon was topped off by an oh-so-perfect, marvel of a masterpiece by My Sweet and Saucy.

Take in the full spread of photos over here

Thanks so much to the very talented and very kind Jen, and this incredible team:
