Noelle and Richard were married at Artisan Works in Rochester, NY on June 7. The bride looked stunning in a V-neck chiffon gown with a sparkly bodice and wore her hair in soft curls. She carried a bouquet featuring red peonies, pink roses, poppy pods, scabiosa pods, and fern curls. Her ‘maids opted for navy blue wrap dresses and carried colorful blooms. The groom and he men wore black two-piece tuxes with skinny ties. The couple let the decorative venue speak for itself. “Every inch of the venue is covered in colorful artwork, so any attempt at a color scheme or theme would be white noise,” Noelle explained. “We wanted something lively and non-traditional.” The pair exchanged vows in front of their 114 guests in the art space. The guests received an “instruction manual” as a ceremony program, one of the ways the the couple incorporated their sense of humor into the ceremony. A reception followed, which featured tables with black tablecloths decorated with bold and textured floral centerpieces. Another unique aspect to Noelle and Richard’s wedding was that they brought their own alcohol. “Since our hobbies of beer and wine making play such significant roles in our lives, it was essential to our plans that we be able to serve them to our friends and family,” Noelle explained. After dinner guests indulged in a two-toned cake topped with flowers. The pair couldn’t have been happier with the way their day turned out. “We were brimming with love and elation that so many people who are so special to us came so far,” Noelle said. Heather and Leah were married at Barlow’s Mill, the bride’s parent’s vineyard, in Fredonia, N.Y. on June 29. “We tried to take a fairly laid-back approach,” Heather said. “We knew we wanted the wedding to be outside, and we knew that we wanted it to feel homey and relatively casual and fun.” The brides both wore sweetheart a-line wedding gowns, accessorized with sashes and custom-painted Converse tennis shoes, and carried bouquets of roses, orchids, and succulents. “We each asked the men and women, who were most important in our lives to stand up with us, and we asked each woman to wear a green dress that they would wear again someday,” she said. “We loved having them all there with us, looking and feeling like themselves.” Even their golden retriever pooch got to lounge around too! The newlyweds made their grand entrance into the tented reception with 120 guests cheering. “Leah’s sister Ruth is amazing at decorating things, and after she threw us the most beautiful bridal shower ever, we told her that if she would take charge of the decorating, we would just do what she told us to do! And we pretty much did,” Heather said. “She had such a great eye and just helped us make things beautiful.” Tables were decorated with stacks of vintage books, clocks, monogrammed letters, and lanterns atop burlap runners. The favors? Basil plants in mason jars. At the end of the night, a bonfire was lit to roast s’mores and keep warm. See the full board here.
