Tanya + Mark: A Summer California Vineyard Wedding By Josh Goodman Photography

Tanya and Mark were married on Friday the 13th of July, 2013 at Malibu Family Wines in California. “The weather was fantastic, and the air was clear that day,” Tanya said. “The grape vines were lush with green and ripening grapes, so the scenery was quite breathtaking.” She wore a Pronovias lace mermaid wedding gown and carried a bouquet of white lithiansus and purple stock she made herself. After they recited their own vows and moved the guests to tears, what did they do? — play a game of badminton! “For our first date, we agreed to meet at a park to play badminton,” Tanya said. “The plans were  later changed to coffee. And although we dated for three years after that, we never played a badminton game. As a surprise, Mark had his groomsmen set up a badminton field, so after the ceremony, as husband and wife, we played our first match to the cheers of the guests.”  Under the moonlight, the couple performed their first dance to Clemency’s “My Heart is the Eastern Horizon” and ended the night with a swirl of sparklers.
