Posted by Kate. Filed under Uncategorized

Get ready to kick up your boots and stay a while, y’all! Between the sweetly mismatched bridesmaid dresses and super-fun reception space, Victoria and John’s Texas nuptials are seriously worth pouring over. Set on a chilly January day at McKinney’s Rock Creek Ranch, the rustic celebration is a creative, colorful spin on classic country wedding style (love those subtle neon bouquets). Big thanks to Allison Davis for sharing her photos of the day! Be sure to check out the full gallery for even more details.

DIY Wednesday: Floral Hair Clip
Posted by Kate. Filed under DIY Wednesday, Do It Yourself

By: Caroline Drake

I love the look of a handmade floral headpiece.  You can transform your entire look just by putting one on, and they are super easy to make!  These are great accessories for either a bridal or bridesmaid ensemble.  By making them yourself you can save a lot of money, and add that unique handmade touch.

You’ll need a few supplies: Hot Glue Gun • Glue Sticks • Scissors • Lace and Tulle • Flower (This sequin flower is from Glory’s House) • Small Hair comb (from a craft store) • Feathers (Guinea feathers found on Amazon)

Step One • Using the glue gun, glue the feathers to the back of the flowers.

Step Two • Next, Cut tulle and lace to the size you want, and glue to the back of the flower folding and twisting to where it looks good, then glue it down onto the flower.

Step Three • Continue to glue pieces of lace to the back of the flower, overlapping and situating it on the flower as you like.

Step Four • Glue a small strip of glue to the top front the metal comb and glue it to the back of the flower and lace.

Step Five • Adjust the lace and feathers as needed and glue them down!

Fashion Friday: An Uptown Chic Reception Outfit for the Bride
Posted by Sarah Zlotnick. Filed under Bridal Fashion, Reception

Don’t get us wrong—we love, love, love the classic look of a floor-length wedding gown. But after rings have been exchanged and vows have been said, what bride doesn’t want a dress that’s a little easier to move in? We’re big time advocates of a second (and shorter!) reception dress here at Project Wedding, and this sweet little Kirribilla number from Weddington Way is one of our faves right now. Add a few bits of (elegant) bling and finish off with a shiny cobalt pump for a city chic ballroom celebration.

Where to Buy: Kirribilla Celeste Little White Dress ($420) • Crystal Swirl Brooch Bobbi ($130) • New Look Pleated Satin Box Clutch ($22.02) • Lydell NYC Blue Crystal Stud Earrings ($25) • Kate Spade Emison Satin Peep-Toe Pump ($328)
