Kelly and Michael were married at Kirtland Country Club in Kirtland, Ohio on June 29. “Being that we had our ceremony and reception at a country club, we wanted to avoid the entire event being too ‘stuffy’ and formal, so we had to balance the elegance and sophistication of the venue with the desired comfort level that we wanted our guests to feel,” Kelly said. The bride wore a sweetheart chiffon wedding gown with a rosette skirt, accessorized with her hair down in loose curls, while the groom wore a three-piece tan suit, accessorized with a patterned tie and guitar cufflinks. Bridesmaids wore short halter dresses and carried bouquets of roses, hydrangeas, and lilies. “I remember standing arm-in-arm with my dad, ready to walk down the aisle, both of us looking at the weather radar on his phone!” she said. “But the rain held off and we were able to have a beautiful garden ceremony, and it never rained the rest of the night!” All 175 guests were escorted to their seats with English crackers. “The crackers are a tradition in my family and we use them as place settings every Christmas,” Kelly said. “We had ours custom-made, and it was so fun to incorporate this into our wedding.” The signature cocktail? “The Blind Date.” Tables were decorated with neutral linens, pink napkins, and lush centerpieces surrounded by votive candles. “The chevron design was modern and clean-cut, and the various sparkles, along with a LOT of flowers, added elegant, romantic and classic touches throughout the decor,” she said. The newlyweds performed their first dance to “Harvest Moon” by Neil Young and enjoyed their three-tiered cake on custom lovebird plates. How sweet! See the full board here.
