Floral arrangements featured peonies, hydrangeas, brunia balls, and dusty millers. The outdoor sunset ceremony was held before a fireplace decorated with a wreath, ornaments, and candles. Lydia and Bill were married in an outdoor ceremony under a wooden “Holy Matrimony” sign at Laurel Creek Manor. The bride showed off her curves in a complimenting, body-hugging Maggie Sottero ball gown and accessorized with a pearl necklace. Bridesmaids wore navy blue dresses and carried yellow rose bouquets while groomsmen wore gray suits with navy blue ties and yellow craspedia boutonnieres. Chevron was used throughout their reception decor, including the escort cards and linens. At each place setting, guests were given “Mad Libs” -esque games where they could share marriage advice. Tables were even named after the couple’s favorite football players! See the full board here.

Stephanie + Ben: A Romantic Shabby Chic Michigan Manor Wedding By Pasha Belman

Stephanie and Ben described their wedding theme as “relaxed and wildly romantic … organic with vintage touches.” Distressed antique furniture, which was all sourced by the bride herself, was placed throughout the venue. A welcome table featured family mementos, a reception sign was actually a mirror attached to a vanity, the guestbook table had “keys to a happy marriage,” and a lounge included a fireplace mantle and velvet chairs. Stephanie walked down the aisle wearing a Vera Wang ruffled wedding gown paired with sparkly flats. “I thought I would be nervous saying our vows, but it was comforting having everyone their supporting us.” Stephanie said. Following the ceremony, the reception began with the song “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast playing. Tall candelabras were decorated with greenery, and silver tea sets were used as centerpieces. “We even used some of my mom’s and my great grandma’s china for a few of the place settings,” she said. The bride’s parents even surprised the newlyweds with a congratulatory sign! And guests ended the night with wishes floating away in the sky. See the full board here.
