Fashion Friday: Easygoing & Elegant Rehearsal Dinner Outfit
Posted by Sarah Zlotnick. Filed under fashion, Outfit Ideas

Engagement dinners, bridal showers, bachelorette parties…the events leading up to your big day can be just as daunting to dress for as the big day itself. So, starting today, you’ll occasionally see outfit ideas beyond bridal and bridesmaids on this blog. Up first: an elegant yet easygoing option for a garden-inspired rehearsal dinner. While many brides opt to wear white to this soirée, we think a dusty tan rose works just as well. Here we paired it with floral heels and plenty of mint embellishments for a polished look you can still relax in.

Coral & Mint Texan Wedding by Taylor Lord Photography
Posted by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings

I’ve been adoring the mint color trend for weeks now, and when I came across Rachel and Craig’s rustic garden wedding in fresh shades of coral and mint, I was in heaven.  These two lovebirds met in college and became best friends.  They now lead worship together and just released their first worship music EP!   Their wedding day was crazy sweet and very intimate…. I’m so thrilled to share it.  Enjoy these absolutely dreamy photos by Taylor Lord Photography… I’ll bet this contemporary palette and rustic styling will be prettying up your pinboards this week!

The bridesmaids wore a selection of mint colored dresses from  AsosModcloth and Dillards.  The combination of textures and styles, paired with vibrant contrast florals make these bridal party pics some of my very favorite! The stunning Rachel ordered a Dessy After Six bridesmaid gown in ivory.  It just goes to show that you can get a simple, lovely look that’s not super spendy!

The quaint and homey Harbor Chapel in Possum Kingdom, Texas was perfectly suited for their intimiate nuptials.  The couple invited one hundred and thirty of their dearest friends and family to share in the day.

Dinner and dancing followed nearby at the The Harbor Grille; a spread of vibrant blooms adorned the restaurant space.  The mix of colorful succulents, roses, and dahlias by Petals and Stems made the vision of a rustic garden come to life.  If, like me, you’re a sucker for home style cakes… this cake will send you over the moon it’s so darling…

Such a charming celebration…  All our congratulations to this beautiful couple!

Vintage Romance: Part Two
Posted by Kate. Filed under Color Palettes, Wedding Inspiration

This is part two of a three part series contributed by Anne Sage of The City Sage.

Edwardian Elegance
A Spring garden party practically begs for the enchanting and ethereal sensibility of the early 1900’s. A mix of soft pastels–peach, mint, and sky–complement filmy gowns and lush, loose floral arrangements. Tea sandwiches and petit fours are a must! Required viewing: Finding Neverland.
