Taylor + Richard: A Rustic Red Beach Wedding by Keepsake Memories Photography
Posted by Sarah Zlotnick. Filed under Real Weddings

There’s something so warm and inviting about a Fall wedding, don’t you think? Today we’re smitten with Taylor and Richard’s October North Carolina nuptials, particularly because of the creative red centerpieces and the fact that the bride made her fascinator herself. Special thanks to Keepsake Memories Photography for sending over the photos! We think they capture the unique oceanside ceremony perfectly.

Raquel + Jason: A Glam Nautical Wedding by Nerinna Studios
Posted by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings

Raquel and Jason’s glam nautical affair is the perfect blend of summertime and ballroom chic. From the striking blue lighting of the reception to the charming anchor cake topper, we love this hot weather wedding from Monterey, California for its unique twist on a traditionally preppy aesthetic. Thanks to Nerinna Studios for sharing the day with us! You can see even more details in our full gallery.

Jason and Raquel met through mutual friends at a Dave & Buster’s. After eight years of dating, Jason proposed during a gondola ride in Venice, Italy. After celebrating so many previous anniversaries at the Monterey Plaza Hotel, the couple knew it would be the perfect place to have their wedding.

Katie + Alex: A Summery Southern Engagement Shoot by Almond Leaf Studios
Posted by Sarah Zlotnick. Filed under Engagements

Today’s gorgeous engagement shoot comes straight from the South—Chapel Hill, NC to be exact. Katie and Alex met as undergrads at the University of North Carolina (go Tarheels!), so when it came time to capture their pre-wedding bliss, ace photographer Elizabeth Marx of Almond Leaf Studios scouted three picture-perfect spots around campus.  We love the way they used simple outfits and backdrops—it really lets their love for each other (and those beautiful smiles!) shine through.

From the bride-to-be: Alex and I grew up about 20 minutes from each other in small and smaller towns in eastern North Carolina.  As close as we were geographically, and as intertwined as our families were in the local arts and athletics communities, it wasn’t until college that we (finally) met.  Our overlap at UNC Chapel Hill was very brief, but we were introduced by mutual friends during Alex’s senior year and my freshman year.  Post-grad, Alex and I both found ourselves in Charlotte (he beat me there by three years, naturally, and had secured a graduate degree in the meantime) and apparently we both needed a little nudging from our mothers (guilty, yes) to get us on our first date.  After sharing chips and salsa and a bottle of wine at a local Mexican restaurant, we realized that the saying is true—Mothers do always know best. And here it is, four years later, and we are getting hitched!

A Pastel Yacht Club Wedding by Kate Connolly Photography
Posted by Sarah Zlotnick. Filed under Real Weddings

What do you get when you combine a pastel color palette, charming stationery, and a bunch of good friends goofing off? Something not too far from Tina and Chris’s adorable New Jersey wedding, we bet! Set on a cool October day at the Mallard Island Yacht Club, the slightly vintage, sweetly nautical vibe of their celebration immediately caught our eye. From the playful props (love that cornhole set!)  to the custom Rifle Paper Co. wedding garland, everything blends together in such a softly romantic way that we can’t help but be absolutely smitten. Special thanks to Kate Connolly for sharing these lovely images with us!
