What do you get when you combine a pastel color palette, charming stationery, and a bunch of good friends goofing off? Something not too far from Tina and Chris’s adorable New Jersey wedding, we bet! Set on a cool October day at the Mallard Island Yacht Club, the slightly vintage, sweetly nautical vibe of their celebration immediately caught our eye. From the playful props (love that cornhole set!)  to the custom Rifle Paper Co. wedding garland, everything blends together in such a softly romantic way that we can’t help but be absolutely smitten. Rylie, the beautiful bride in ringlet curls, was first inspired by all things nautical.  Then, her vintage side took over and she began collecting, collecting, collecting!  She and Jonathan married on a sunny day in Atascadero, California, in a vintage-inspired celebration that charmingly reminds me a little of nautical gone hipster. In a word, you could say, eclectic.  You’ll see what I mean.  These photos are worth thousands of words: all the handcrafted details are incredibly darling and the pair, cute-as-can-be.  I’m honored to share their sweet nuptials, captured by Lindsey Gomes Photography!  

Rylie’s maids wore navy blue frocks from Anthropologie and a little local boutique; they carried eclectic bouquets of tulips, mums and succulents.  The bride carried a dreamer of a bouquet in ivory blooms and soft peach garden roses with petals for days.  Wearing a sharp charcoal suit and plaid bowtie, Jonathan was one well-dressed groom in his handsome hipster look! 

A simple chandelier, and fabric strip backdrop set the stage for their ceremony under a magnificent oak tree at The Taft Ranch.  After an emotional walk down the aisle and heartfelt ‘I dos,’ the ceremony wrapped up with one heck-of-a-kiss.  I love those kind… with the head grab… makes me melt into a puddle.  The elated couple walked back up the aisle and headed over to the on-site barn for the reception.

Jessica Lorren is one of those photographers who makes everything she captures look just utterly gorgeous.  Add in a houseboat on the coast and one beautiful couple and the scene was set.  It’s our total pleasure to share Jared and Natalie’s intimate engagement session, photographed in southern Florida.

Jessica describes Jared and Natalie as incredibly sweet and so much fun. They actually lived on this houseboat together for two years and named it the Three Little Birds after themselves and their pup Jobi. Jared is a dive boat captain and Natalie works with him. Their May wedding will have a nautical theme so the boat was just the right place for their engagement shoot.

Sigh… there’s just nothing like good film work…
