* Brittany + Jason: A Darling Southern Wedding by Annabella Charles Photography
Posted on March 25th, 2013 by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings.
Another day, another springy Tennessee wedding to fall for (we couldn’t stop talking about Heather + Tyler’s Gallatin celebration last week). This Monday though, all eyes are on blushing Southern belle Brittany and the classic Southern ceremony she held with now-husband Jason at her family home in Cordova. Their navy, peach, and ivory nuptials are the perfect expression of preppy romance, especially when set in a lush backyard on a crisp June night. Big thanks to Annabella Charles Photography for sharing the day with us! You can see even more details in the full gallery.
* Hip & Modern LA Wedding by Amelia Lyons

Sean and Susan’s hip Los Angeles affair is the ultimate in modern romance. From a stationery suite designed by the groom himself to a delectable set of desserts, the polished ivory, peach, and pewter celebration features so many cool details we’re not quite sure where to begin. So, instead of blabbering on, we’ll let Amelia Lyon’s amazing images do the talking instead. Enjoy!
Sean and Susan dated for six years before heading to the altar. Though they grew up in the same town, they didn’t meet until freshman year at UC-Irvine, and didn’t start dating until senior year, when they bonded over study sessions and long car rides as commuter students. After school, the relationship turned long-distance when Sean moved to Texas, but the pair stuck it out. As Susan says, she knew they were “MFEO” (that’s shorthand for ‘meant for each other’), and that was all she needed to keep the faith.
* A Starry Celebration by Brandy & Beau

I lean on the serious side, so I truly admire couples that take a light-hearted and fun-loving approach to planning their wedding day. (And this is already the second one of the year, mmm 2013 is shaping up quite nicely so far)! Annikki and Chris have celebrated a young-at-heart kind of love since they met in 2007, when, at their first meeting Chris warned her not to fall in love with him! Nearly five years later their fresh approach to life and love was infused into a sweet, thoughtful celebration that included elements of stars, paper florals, and Chris’ adoration of comic books. Enjoy these darling photos of their central Florida nuptials by Brandy & Beau!
In 2011, Chris started their four year anniversary month with a surprise every day. On September 8th, he woke Annikki up and blindfolded her at 4:30am for a surprise adventure to the Kennedy Space Center. Chris suggested that they go on the Shuttle Launch Experience. After exiting the ride, they were surrounded by little LED lights simulating a moon experience. He asked Annikki if she knew why he had brought her there, and said “I brought you here because I love you to the moon and back!” Then, he got on his knee and proposed. Thus, the couple married at The Lake Mary Events Center in front of a backdrop of 1,001 stars.
The reception was a wonderland of yellow, navy, and candlelight. They wove Chris’ love of comics into the day by wrapping up the cardbox in comic strip newspaper, having the flower girl toss comic-book heart cut-outs, and Annikki even arranged for a Batmobile groom’s cake!
* Natural Enchantment by Keepsake Memories Photography

Becca and Sam’s wintry palette of midnight blues and charcoal grays is totally getting us in the mood for the holidays. After seven years together, the pair tied the knot in a handmade, outdoor wedding on Emerald Isle, North Carolina. Their DIY approach involved keeping the entire event as eco-friendly as possible, utilizing natural décor, sola flower bouquets, and organic goods. It was a magical evening of relaxed, laid-back fun and about a million kisses (we can’t get enough of all of their kissing shots)! Keepsake Memories was there to capture the day, including this stunning photo of the bride in front of a vintage bathtub at The Watson House.
With the help of her bridesmaids, Becca crafted the bouquets and boutonnières using Sola flowers (hand-carved from Tapioca trees), baby’s breath, grapevine, and greenery. Becca wore a gorgeous ruffle-skirt ball gown and walked down the aisle with her parents as Sam played an acoustic version of Bron-Yr-Aur by Led Zeppelin on the guitar. There, on the scenic grounds of the estate, the couple took their vows in a completely personalized ceremony in front of one hundred and twenty five guests.
After the ceremony, the couple took a moment alone together to revel in the joy of being married! Then, a rustic, natural reception ensued under a tent. Midnight blues were incorporated into the place settings, while handcrafted centerpieces of grapevine, winter berries, pinecones, and vintage lanterns adorned the tables. The evening continued with an after party that lasted til 2am! Read more about their sweet story just below…
