* Dramatic Sunflower-Theme Real Wedding by Nami Dadlani Photography and J Morgan Flowers
Posted on August 6th, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings.
I have a flair for dramatics… and also for gorgeous things that are truly unique… you know, not the run-of-the-mill… so I was utterly delighted to lay eyes on Robyn and Ben’s beautiful wedding album. I didn’t realize that sunflowers could be so fresh, warm and entirely exquisite. Leave it up to J Morgan Flowers to design a stunning array of florals for this May wedding in Fort Lauderdale. Here’s a peek, but you can see the full spread of photos by Nami Dadlani Photography over here.
Robyn is originally from Fort Lauderdale, and Ben from South Hampton, England. The pair met at a friend’s barbecue on Cinco de Mayo. Ben and a friend competed in a game of pool to determine which lucky fellow would get to talk to Robyn first! After he swept her off her feet with his accent and charm, they married six years to the day after they met. The ceremony took place under a covered patio at the historic Stranahan House. One of Robyn’s favorite moments was walking down the aisle with her ten-year-old daughter, Madison, and meeting her husband-to-be. At that moment, she felt as though everything was right in her world.

As day transitioned into evening, the navy and gold color palette deepened and an elegant party ensued. The cake? Oh the cake. Ruffled perfection by Sugarsweet Dreams Cake Company. I love the whole thing… the monogram, the sugar sunflower…
See and read more from Robyn and Ben’s day…
We’re wishing Robyn and Ben decades and decades of happy Cinco de Mayos!

* A Rustic Chic Real Wedding by Allie Lindsey Photography
Posted on August 2nd, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings.
Ali and Troy’s Oceanside, California wedding aimed to be casual, rustic and fun. From the looks of these gorgeous photos, courtesy of Allie Lindsey Photography- goal accomplished! The palette of navy, grey, burlap and splashes of green (think succulents) was perfect for this relaxed wedding with California country flair.
Ali’s fit and flare Alfred Angelo gown is perfectly chic, especially with that coordinating navy accent sash! The maids wore lace frocks from Banana Republic, paired with cowgirl boots. Love that look- it gets me every time. Leaf it to Lexi Floral Design created ethereal baby’s breath bouquets that tied it all together.
The bride and groom went to high school together, but weren’t friends at the time. Eight years later, Alison’s brother-in-law, who was Troy’s best friend growing up, introduced them. They married in Heritage Park on an amazing, cloudless day in May.

Alison got a lot of her ideas for detail from Pinterest. Those personalized bottles are definitely a Pinterest-worthy highlight! The reception was catered by the Delicioso Food Truck (how fun)! and the cake table was crafted by Sweet Thing Bakery. A photo booth played the role of ‘guestbook’ and provided fun favors.
Coordinated by Main Thing Events, this rustic celebration was as sweet as it gets. From the optional quilt seating for the ceremony (which kids loved) to the taco truck and photobooth (which the adults loved), Ali and Troy’s wedding was a hit. The relaxed vibe allowed for the love to flow- between family, friends, and of course, between the adorable couple <3

* Preppy Bahamian Real Wedding by Jenelle Kappe
Posted on July 31st, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings.
We’re so excited to share the grande finale of Kristin and Broen’s amazing wedding weekend with you! Following their gorgeous meet and greet and fabulous rehearsal dinner, Broen suited up in the perfect navy blue suit and pink tie, Kristin donned an exquisite, all-lace Elizabeth Fillmore gown and the two tied the knot oceanside. The perfect mix of beachiness and preppiness, we’re in love with every single photo by Jenelle Kappe Photography.
Those colors… so gorgeous against the white sand! Kristin’s single bridesmaid wore a fuchsia, resort-style Trina Turk gown. The tailored, colorful menswear was purchased from Klein, Epstein and Parker, and the gorgeous florals by Little Island Design tied everything together. At the end of a conch shell-lined aisle, Kristin and Broen took vows under a rustic, ocean driftwood archway.
This spot on Harbour Island is incredible. After the ceremony, guests migrated into the Blue Bar at the Pink Sands Resort for an indoor/outdoor reception. The evening was capped off with a cascade of pristine orchids down a stunning cake and a dreamy sky lantern release.
See the full feature of Kristin and Broen’s blissful day here.

* Chevron Love: Amanda’s Bridal Shower
Posted on March 20th, 2012 by Kate. Filed under bridal shower.
Let’s just say that Amanda’s best gals have an eye for design! Her cousins (Emily and Jeanna) teamed up with their moms to pull of this charming, yet sophisticated fête in her honor. These ladies really know how to personalize, personalize, personalize! Every little detail was in place for the yellow and navy inspired shower in Cohasset, Massachusetts.
The centerpiece of the party was an elaborate candy spread, dubbed ‘Mandy’s Candy’s.’ A yellow chevron fabric provided a chic backdrop for the sweets in the foreground. Guests sipped on delicious blueberry lemonade cocktails (in mason jars with customized straws)! I’m especially loving the monogram and fancy paper goods.
