Corinna and Zack were married at Oak Hill in Hudson, N.Y. on August 24. The bride wore a sweetheart ball gown with a ruffled floral petal skirt, accessorized with her hair half-up/half-down in loose curls, while the groom wore a three-piece gray suit, accessorized with a solid tie and Converse tennis shoes. Bridesmaids wore mix ‘n’ matched short blush dresses and carried bouquets of baby’s breath. Their gifts? Burlap clutches. Guests were directed to the ceremony, reception, and yes, restrooms with a wooden sign post and were encouraged to take a fan to beat the hot, hot heat. The ceremony took place along the river with an expansive view of the Catskill Mountains in the background. Cocktail hour began with “Moose Juice,” fresh pineapple soaked in vodka, and “Jungle Juice,” fruit punch, lemon-lime fizz, and raspberry vodka, and lawn games such as corn hole. The reception was held inside the barn lit with string lights and draped with fabric. Tables were decorated with burlap runners, mason jar and wine bottle centerpieces atop wooden slices, and utensils wrapped in twine. Family style dinner included grilled steak, salmon, bbq chicken, pulled pork, mac ‘n’ cheese, and fresh vegetables. Yum! Plus, a strawberry shortcake for dessert. Just wait until you see the newlyweds’ send-off! Z + C = pure bliss. See the full board here.

Rachel + Russ: An Intimate Spring New York Historic Mansion Wedding By Cappy Hotchkiss Photography

Rachel and Russ were married at Oak Hill overlooking the Catskill Mountains in Hudson, N.Y. last spring. “Russ and I knew from the get go that we didn’t want to get married in the city and really wanted an outdoor wedding,” Rachel said. “Once we had chosen the location, everything else seemed to come together perfectly.” The bride wore a striped lace fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown, accessorized with her hair down in loose curls and a shoulder-length veil, while the groom wore a dark gray suit, accessorized with a polka dot bow tie and striped socks. How did guests arrive? On yellow school buses! Since there was no bridal party, “we decided to ask four close friends and family members to hold up the chuppah,” she said. Following signing of the ketubah, the reception was held underneath a to-die-for sailcloth tent. “Since we met when we were 14, we have a long history and wanted to incorporate those memories into the wedding,” Rachel said. “We chose to assign table numbers based on important dates in our lives and included blurbs explaining the significance of each.” Tables were decorated with white linens, burlap runners, and mason jar centerpieces filled with none other than peonies. The newlyweds performed their first dance to “You Really Got a Hold On Me” by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. Later in the evening, Rachel’s parents’ wedding song was played as a thank you tribute. How sweet! Plus, “Russ’s grandmother hand painted a cake topper that everyone in his family has used on the top of their wedding cakes over the years,” she said. “Although we had cupcakes instead of a cake, we still displayed the cake topper to keep up the tradition.” See the full board here.
