Katie + Jacob’s playful Menlo Park wedding is sure to bring a California-sized smile to your face! Set on a warm summer day outside at the Allied Arts Guild, the pink, orange, and yellow celebration was filled with bubbles, balloons, and plenty of DIY and Etsy-inspired details. Today’s real wedding is a very special reveal! When we heard that the fab folks at Alfred Angelo were celebrating their real brides by selecting one to be their ‘Facebook Cover Girl’ each month, we thought it was brilliant.  We were honored and flattered to help them with the selection process and so excited to announce that Mrs. Ticona Fillah is February’s lucky lady. Ticona married the love of her life, Vince, this past September, in a vibrantly romantic wedding in Potomac, Maryland. We snagged these stunning photographs by Judah Avenue Photography to share the day!

Ticona’s dramatic drop waist style gown looked as if it was made just for her!  Her classic, yet modern bridal look was complemented by rich, bold hues of the bridal party attire.  She shared that their inspiration for planning was ‘tradition and romance with great food, and non-stop dancing. We really wanted our guests to share in our love and union, and to have an amazing time!’

After taking their vows in a traditional ceremony at the church,  the celebration continued in a nearby hall.  The reception was glamorously adorned with submerged florals and candlelight.  After pouring over the details for almost a year, an evening of all-out dancing ensued in the dreamy and carefully constructed ambiance.

Elisha and David’s Southern California wedding fills our hearts with sunshine! From the bride’s sweet ballet flats to the textured white bouquets, everything about this ceremony feels elegant, refined, and inviting. Set on a “perfect” day at The Peninsula Beverly Hills, the intimate family affair (Elisha’s stepfather officiated) took place outdoors by the hotel fountain, which was turned on moments after they exchanged vows. Michelle Warren was on hand to capture the magic, and we’re thrilled to share her lovely images today.

After taking their vows at The Salt Lake Temple,  the newlyeds and their closeknit group of guests retreated to the Memorial House in Memory Grove.   During the spring and summer months, Becca and Jason would ride bikes to Memory Grove every Sunday and spend the afternoon picnicking and watching all of the dogs play. They fell in love with the area, and once they discovered the venue, it was a must for the reception!

The handmade décor was a labor of love.  Inspired by Anthropologie-esque repurposing of common materials into kitschy, creative décor items,  the couple salvaged glass bottles for centerpieces, utilized vintage sheet music for table runners, and pinned seating assignments on an antique dress form.  Roots prettied up the displays with a palette of autumn florals, tying it all together. Grace Harvell, of The Graceful Baker, prepared the dreamiest and most delicious, three-tiered carrot cake that Becca, Jason, and their guests had ever tasted!

As we sit and soak in all of the creativity, we’re wishing these two a lifetime of love…
