* Southern-Vintage Garden Wedding

Posted on November 3rd, 2011 by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings.

There is such a lightness to this day…  The bride, Kimmee, looked perfectly angelic…and Kevin, her beloved,  seems like one of those dashingly romantic types.   We love how they paired vintage style and Southern charm in a garden setting… sheer loveliness. Belle of the Ball Designs created a romantic pink and warm peach palette of overflowing florals… Kimberlee Miller captured the abundance of beauty in the California sunlight.

That kiss… swoon!

The entire day was hosted at the Maravilla Gardens, a gorgeous venue just north of Los Angeles. For the reception, guest’s names were tucked neatly into horizontal stacks of vintage books, while colorful, Southern-style florals could be found on every table.

If you want to talk vintage, this truly vintage cake-topper adorned the top of the cake, with a heart shaped archway and all!

Sweet Wishes to Kimmee & Kevin

* Dessert Bunting Love

Posted on June 9th, 2011 by Kate. Filed under Things we heart, Wedding Cakes.

Fancy desserts and creative bunting just might be my two favorite things… put them together and, well, you know… I go weak at the knees.  The brilliant minds at Paper Stories (a Chicago-based boutique and letterpress company) came up with this gorgeous spread, featuring their custom ribbon bunting.

Umm.. Adorable.

* Pear & Rosy Peach Color Inspiration

Posted on February 17th, 2011 by Kate. Filed under Color Palettes, Wedding Favors, Wedding Invitations.

I came across this lovely photograph from a sweet Seckel Pear favor DIY we did a while back, and I found the colors just captivating.  What a pretty color palette the shades of green pear and rosy peach would make!

So, I went to it…

Among my finds were: Perfectly Paired Invitations and this elegant Pair-scented Soap from the shops. The other photos came from this gorgeous wedding, photographed by Tec Petaja.

From now until Saturday, the 19th, we’ve got a great sale going on in the Invitation Shop:  Save 10% off any order over $99, 15% off orders over $149, and 20% off orders over $199.  {Hop on over} to take a peek!  Use the code PWM0111 when you check out.

* Vintage Romance: Part Two

Posted on January 20th, 2010 by Kate. Filed under Color Palettes, Wedding Inspiration.

This is part two of a three part series contributed by Anne Sage of The City Sage.

Edwardian Elegance
A Spring garden party practically begs for the enchanting and ethereal sensibility of the early 1900’s. A mix of soft pastels–peach, mint, and sky–complement filmy gowns and lush, loose floral arrangements. Tea sandwiches and petit fours are a must! Required viewing: Finding Neverland.
