Dresden and Peter were married on Steam Gun Beach followed by a reception at Port Royal Golf Club in Hilton Head, S.C. on May 10. The bride looked radiant in a strapless sweetheart drop waist gown. She pulled her hair in a partial updo and carried a bouquet of pink and purple hydrangeas tied with a tulle ribbon (which was put together by her parents). Her ‘maids donned navy blue one-shoulder dresses and carried preppy pink hydrangea bouquets. The groom and his men looked dapper in light pink pants, dark jackets, and blue bow ties. The wedding took place right on the beach in front of a bamboo chuppah as 100 guests watched in folding chairs. For Dresden, this location was an easy decision. “I grew up going to Hilton Head every summer since I was born and always had said I wanted a wedding on the beach there,” she explained. Young gentlemen in pink bow ties carried a banner down the aisle that read “Here comes the bride.” After officially tying the knot, the wedding party rode in style on a red trolley to the reception. The reception tablescapes featured various beach decor such as seashells and starfish. There were also votive candles inside white lanterns for a beachy effect. The three-tier blue cake was adorned with seashells and starfish as well. Guests filled favor bags with various candy from the display Dresden and Peter created, they also offered them glow sticks to use on the dance floor. Talk about creative! “Stick to what you have always imagined ,” Dresden encourages. “Everyone will be trying to talk you into what they have envisioned for the wedding, but you want it to be the perfect day.” See the full board here.

Erin and Mathew were married at The Inn at Bay Harbor in Petoskey, Mich. on July 6. ”From the moment of the proposal in northern Michigan, we knew we wanted to have a destination wedding in this special place where we have vacationed with family, and as a couple for the past four years,” Erin said. The bride wore a strapless tea-length wedding gown with a floral appliques, accessorized with a birdcage veil and glitter peep-toe slingbacks, while the groom wore a tan suit, accessorized with a striped tie and Sperry Topsider boat shoes. Bridesmaids wore short satin dress in various necklines and carried bouquets of baby’s breath and dusty millers. “The ceremony was very intimate, as a great friend of ours officiated the wedding, and we were very involved in planning the entire ceremony,” she said. “I think our guests would agree with us that the best part was the ‘I love you because’ statements. Before the wedding, each of us wrote down the top 10 reasons why we loved the other, and gave it to our officiant. They were read aloud for the first time then.” In addition, there was a wine box and knot-tying too! Reception tables were decorated with navy blue linens, pink napkins, tall topiary and succulent birch slab centerpieces, and a custom favor box filled with a shot glass at each place setting. ”After our introduction,we had planned the dance from Napoleon Dynamite (‘Canned Heat’) to perform, however, since we had not rehearsed for the week leading up to the wedding, the routine was far from perfect,” Erin said. “Nevertheless, it is still one of my favorite memories.” See the full board here.

Lauren and Drew were married at the groom’s parents home along the Severn River in Annapolis, Md. last spring. ”We truly felt that our wedding day was not just a celebration of each other, but also for everyone who made us into the couple we are today,” Lauren said. The bride wore a v-neck mermaid wedding gown with a beaded bodice and tulle skirt, accessorized with a floral wreath in her sideswept ponytail, while the groom wore a navy blue suit, accessorized with a striped tie and pair of Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes. Bridesmaids wore short coral dresses in various fabrics and carried bouquets of hydrangeas. Believe it or not — Lauren arrived to the ceremony on a boat — and 220 guests were in attendance when the couple said their, “I do’s.” Afterwards, a bagpiper led the recessional into the tent. Tables were decorated with gray linens and tall floral centerpieces, signature spiked lemonade and watermelon mojito cocktails and seafood fare were served, and crab mallet favors were at each place setting. There even was fun, games, (and candy) for the kids! Notice the goodie bags? A long night of dancing with provided flip flops ended with a sparkler send off and safe travels to their African safari honeymoon. See the full board here.

Erica and Peter were married in Pamperin Park followed by a reception at Green Bay Country Club in Green Bay, Wis. on September 28. ”I immediately fell in love with the look of rustic elegance and went with it,” Erica said. “I love the natural look of wood and soft, muted colors, and I love the look of chandeliers, gold and lace as well.” The bride wore a sweetheart fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown with a ruffled skirt, accessorized with her hair half-up/half-down in loose curls, while the groom wore a navy blue suit, accessorized with a tie and pocket square. Bridesmaids wore short pink chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of garden roses, succulents, and berries. Guests were greeted with a wooden sign that said, “Today, two families become one, so pick a seat not a side.” ”Two rustic doors, constructed by my dad, stood before the aisle for our guests to walk through and were closed prior to my dad and I walking down the aisle,” she said. “We could not have asked for a better day!” she said. “It was a warm fall day with temps in the low 70′s and the sun shinning high.” Following their unity sand ceremony, dinner and dancing began. Tables were decorated with tall branch centerpieces draped with crystals, mason jars dipped in glitter, and lanterns too. Notice how glasses featured “I’m here for the cake” stickers? Such a fun touch! ”Our dessert bar included a cake, six different flavors of cupcakes, the best apple pie in the world, cookies, and chocolate covered strawberries,” Erica said. To the newlyweds’ surprise, a fireworks display ended the night. See the full board here.
