Tim and Jonah were married at Mount Palomar Winery in Temecula, Calif. on November 15. The grooms looked dapper in fitted gray suits and purple striped ties. They also sported boutonnieres made of ruby orchids, white calla lilies, and seeded eucalyptus. The groomsmen opted for light gray suits and black ties, while the bridesmaids donned floor-length, one-shoulder violet dresses. The pair tied the knot in front of nearly 100 guests on the vineyard property. “”We wanted a very formal, elegant, classy wedding,” Tim said. “I had a vision for our perfect day and lucky for me, Jonah agreed. We wanted touches of Paris, since that holds a special place in our hearts, but we didn’t want it to be a Paris theme wedding.” Guests sat in white folding chairs beside green and purple pomander aisle markers. The grooms’ two chihuahuas participated in the ceremony as well, each adorned in a floral wreath. There was “a slight fall breeze as the sun began to set during the wedding ceremony,” Tim said. A cocktail hour followed the ceremony on a different level of the winery which offered stunning views of the venue. Guests were also asked to sign their names on the leaves of a print tree, in lieu of a traditional guest book. The reception took place inside a room lined with wine barrels and string lights. Guests sat at round tables with white linens and matching folding chairs. The tables were dressed with silver plates and plum-colored napkins. The centerpieces consisted of branches, hydrangeas, orchids, mums, and candles. Friends and family were given a photo scavenger hunt to keep them entertained. The dance floor was illuminated with a gobo light that displayed their initials and wedding date. Guests indulged in a three-tier square cake adorned with purple flowers and a silver monogrammed cake topper. Tim advises couples to stay true to themselves while planning. “During the planning of the wedding you will constantly have others giving you advice and recommendations,” he said. “Ultimately, do what you want – it’s your day!” See the full board here.

stitchPhotos: AiP Creative Photography; Venue: Trezzi Farm Winery; Bridal Jewelry: Icing; Shoes: Payless; Flowers: Liberty Park Florist; Gown: Marcella’s Bridal; Groom’s Attire: Tuxedo Gallery; Bridesmaid Dresses: David’s Bridal; Hair: 14th and Grand; Makeup: Kiss and Makeup by Alexa Jourdan; Caterer: David and Stephanie Trezzi at Trezzi Farm Winery; Officiant: Holly Holmquist

Melissa and Theo were married at Trezzi Farm Winery in Colbert, Wash. on July 12. Melissa looked gorgeous in a strapless ballgown with a sweetheart neckline and an intricate updo, the groom opted for a classic gray suit. The pair exchanged vows in front of 100 guests outside on the vineyard. “Their facility had everything we were looking for and people were generous and kind,” Melissa said of the venue. The cone aisle markers were made of sheet music, moss, branches, and purple ribbon. A wooden pergola with hanging baskets acted as the ceremony backdrop, and family and friends looked on from wooden benches. “Our choice of a winery helped me to decide on eggplant purple, ivory, and green as our wedding colors. This wine theme also extended into some of our decorations,” Melissa said of the decor inspiration. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks before moving into the barn for the reception. Family and friends sat at long wooden tables in wooden chiavari chairs which tied into the rustic vineyard decor. The centerpieces were made of repurposed wine bottles and flowers which sat atop a wood slice that the bride’s father had cut down from their property. Melissa learned a valuable lesson while wedding planning. “I learned is that it was our wedding and we could do whatever we wanted and it didn’t have to fit into the model of what a traditional wedding should look like.” See the full board here.

Yvonne and Kevin were married at Airship 37 in Toronto, Canada on August 16. The bride looked radiant in her strapless lace gown with a scalloped neckline and off-white sash. She donned her hair in a messy chic updo and carried a bouquet of roses, freesia, seeded eucalyptus, mums, and hypericum berries. For the Chinese tea ceremony, the bride opted for a traditional red silk dress with gold embroidery. The groom looked handsome in a dark blue vested suit with a light purple button down shirt and striped neck tie. For the tea ceremony he donned silk attire with red designs on it. The day began with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony as a nod to the bride’s heritage. A ceremony followed in an industrial loft with purple uplighting. The 130 family members and friends sat in silver chiavari chairs which were uniquely arranged in a spiral. Pink circle garlands hung from the ceiling, which her friends tirelessly worked on making. Photos of the couple throughout their relationship hung from the wall by clothespins and bright flowers were arranged in white painted bottles throughout the space, as well as bamboo, which is significant in both the bride and groom’s culture. After vows were exchanged, a reception followed at the same location. “We wanted to create a really fun day that reflected our personalities and interests. We both love playing word games, so we incorporated various scrabble elements,” Yvonne said of the decor. In lieu of a traditional guestbook guests signed quilt squares. Family and friends sat at tables with white linens and Scrabble-inspired table numbers and colorful flowers in clear vases. “We set up dominoes and mah-jong tables for our guests to play after dinner,” Yvonne said of the guest entertainment. Both Yvonne and Kevin’s heritages were represented in the guest’s favors, which consisted of Jamaican rum cake and tea in a Chinese take-out box. Guests also got to indulge in a four-tier butter cream frosting cake adorned with colorful flowers. Yvonne’s wedding advice is plain and simple, “Don’t do anything you don’t want to do.” See the full board here.
