Paul and Joe were married at their private residence in East Hampton, New York on September 13. One groom looked dapper in a black fitted suit and light purple tie, while the other looked just as handsome in a gray checkered suit and dark blue tie. The 65 guests in attendance sat in brown chiavari chairs with navy blue padding and burlap ribbon . “We really love our home in East Hampton and have put a lot of love and effort into the landscaping,” Paul explained. The ceremony was performed by their yoga instructor and both grooms read personal vows, which prompted a few tears from guests. A trio from the Julliard School of Music played as well. After they officially tied the knot, they hosted the reception right in their backyard! Guests sat at three different rectangular banquet tables covered in navy blue denim linens and featured hurricane lanterns and floral arrangements as centerpieces. The nearby pool had white mums floating in it, and candles around the perimeter. “Our backyard was a beautiful setting to celebrate our special event,” Paul said. After the filling family-style dinner, guests were treated to a three tier cake topped with two Adirondack chairs and other beachy elements. Tartlets and cookies were also available. Their best advice for couples on their wedding day? “Be in the moment and make sure to take time to enjoy the event privately as a couple,” he said. “Occasionally step away from the guests so you can savor and remember the incredibly special occasion.” See the full board here.

Sara + Kevin: Purple Summer Garden Wedding in Austin by Addison Studios
Posted by Sarah Title. Filed under Real Weddings

Photos by Addison Studios; Venue: Hummingbird House; Flowers: Flora Fetish; Planner: Amber Anderson of Heavenly Day Events; Bridal Gown: Maggie Sottero, purchased at Signature Bridal Salon; Hair: Shannon McClenny at Ritual Salon; Makeup: Danny Garcia at Ritual Salon; Groom’s Attire: Banana Republic and Express; Bridesmaid Dresses: Bill Levkoff purchased at Signature Bridal Salon; Bridal Shoes: Cole Haan; Cake: Salia Bandy of Just Desserts; Favors: Con’ Olio

Sara and Kevin were married at the Hummingbird House in Austin, Texas on June 21. The bride looked radiant in a lace, A-line gown with an illusion lace back and cap sleeves. Sara amped up her bridal look with a sparkly crystal belt and wore her hair in an intricate updo. She carried a clean bouquet of white peonies tied together with a white satin ribbon. Her ‘maids donned magenta chiffon dresses with ruched bodices. They carried bouquets featuring peonies, roses, and stock that were tied together with a purple satin ribbon. The groomed looked dapper in a light purple button down, plaid tie, and charcoal suit vest. His men sported light gray vested suits with purple ties. Sara and Kevin tied the knot in an intimate garden setting in front of 70 family members and friends, and even arranged for a saxophone quartet to play jazz music before the ceremony. “We knew we wanted to get married in a beautiful setting that would be serene and sacred,” Sara explained. They exchanged vows in front of an iron arbour adorned with orchids and a crystal chandelier. The aisle was strewn with white flower petals and guests sat in white folding chairs. Following the ceremony, a tented reception was held at the same location. In lieu of a classic guest book, guests were asked to sign paper hearts which they placed in a shadow box. Each table featured mirrored trays, ivory flowers, and wooden table numbers. Sara and Kevin sat at a sweetheart table featuring chair signs that read “Bride and Groom.” When it came to food, variety was the main priority. “Kevin and I love cooking and eating healthy,” Sara said. “We have a lot of Vegan friends and went out of our way to make sure everyone had plenty of options.” For dessert, guests chose between lemon, red velvet, chocolate, and vanilla cake. They even offered vegan cupcakes for those who couldn’t indulge in cake! As favors, guests received personalized olive oil and vinegar. The bride and groom even choreographed their first dance! “Our night was magical and romantic and we are so grateful that we both showed up to that bowling alley four years ago,” Sara said of her big day. Lauren + Anthony: Green and Purple Italian-Inspired Arizona Wedding by Jillian Ryan Photography

Photos: Photo: Jillian Ryan Photography; Venue: Cibo Urban Pizzeria Cafe; Dress Designer: Galina from David’s Bridal; Bridesmaid Dresses: David’s Bridal; Groom and Groomsmen Attire: Macy’s; Hair Stylist: Jennifer Dew; Makeup Artist: Stephanie Neilheisel; Officiant: Jerry Laurmann

Lauren and Anthony were married at Cibo Urban Pizzeria Cafe in Phoenix, Arizona on April 6. The bride wore a strapless dress with a ruched bodice and a green and purple embroidered sash, her hair in relaxed curls. She carried a bouquet of succulents, mums, baby’s breath and assorted greenery. Her ‘maids donned green floor-length strapless dresses and held bouquets filled with baby’s breath, mums, and daisies. The groom looked dapper in a purple-checkered button-up, paisley tie, and gray vest. His men wore green-checkered button-up shirts with khaki pants. The reason for all the green and purple? “Choosing colors was hard for me, but we decided on purple for our football team back home (The Ravens) and green is Anthony’s favorite color,” Lauren said. The intimate crowd of 75 guests gathered outside to watch Lauren and Anthony exchange their vows, which she says took them just 4 minutes. “That gave us more time to party,” she said. Guests headed off to the outdoor reception at the restaurant where a picture frame doubled as a seating chart, leading them to their seats. Colorful streamers decorated the outdoor area, and guests sat at banquet tables with cafe chairs and wire table numbers, which the bride’s brother made. “We both come from Italian families so we wanted to include that culture in a little bit, with Italian desserts, music, and the dinner,” Lauren said. After enjoying the Italian fare (pizza and pasta, yum!) the guests took advantage of the photo booth, indulged in a two-tiered cake with butter cream frosting, and took home personalized candles as a favor. “Our families mesh so well together, so it was just a big party all day,” Lauren recalled. “Our wedding was intimate, dreamy and so perfect, it could not have gone any better.” See the full board here.

Denisse + Nick: An Art Deco-Inspired Purple Fall California Country Club Wedding By Gina & Ryan Photography

Denisse and Nick were married at Wedgewood Vellano Country Club in Chino Hills, Calif. on October 18. The couple first met almost seven years ago, working at Nordstrom. “He is full of love and energy, he always finds ways to get me out of my shell, and puts a smile on my face, which I absolutely love,” Denisse said. “I couldn’t be happier.” The bride wore a sweetheart lace trumpet wedding gown, accessorized with a fingertip-length veil, while the groom wore a black suit, accessorized with a solid bow tie. Bridesmaids wore long purple chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of roses, peonies, and hydrangeas. “The weather was great,” she said. “It was warm with a light breeze by the evening.” After being wed in front of 100 family and friends, the reception followed inside the clubhouse. “We love the era of the 1920’s thru the 40’s and wanted to bring that up-to-date in our wedding,” Denisse said. “We kept repeating to each other that we wanted a ‘classic wedding.'” Tables were surrounded by chiavari chairs, decorated with gold charger plates, branch centerpieces dripping in crystals, and stemless wine glasses filled with mints, which also served double-duty as favors. Since the newlyweds were inspired by Louis Armstrong tunes, they performed their first dance to “La Vie En Rose.” A photo booth even provided extra entertainment too. Notice the “Ladies, powder your nose, and gents, comb your mustache” sign? See the full board here.
