* Kristen + Ryan: Rustic Purple Romance in Alabama by Green Tree Photography

Posted on March 14th, 2013 by Sarah Zlotnick. Filed under Real Weddings.

This small-scale Hunstville wedding immediately stole our hearts! As a surprise snow shower fell over the historic Annabella at Cedar Glen, bride Kristen said ‘I do’ to Ryan in an intimate ceremony filled with romantic shades of violet and plenty of vintage-inspired details.  Some friends (including the officiant and two of the bridesmaids) traveled from as far as Ecuador to attend the celebration, which Kristen describes as “one of the absolute happiest days of our lives.” Chase and Jan of Green Tree Photography were on hand to capture the romance, and we’re beyond delighted to share their beautiful photos with you today.

* A Reveal… and a Real Wedding!

Posted on February 7th, 2013 by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings.

Today’s real wedding is a very special reveal! When we heard that the fab folks at Alfred Angelo were celebrating their real brides by selecting one to be their ‘Facebook Cover Girl’ each month, we thought it was brilliant.  We were honored and flattered to help them with the selection process and so excited to announce that Mrs. Ticona Fillah is February’s lucky lady. Ticona married the love of her life, Vince, this past September, in a vibrantly romantic wedding in Potomac, Maryland. We snagged these stunning photographs by Judah Avenue Photography to share the day!

Ticona’s dramatic drop waist style gown looked as if it was made just for her!  Her classic, yet modern bridal look was complemented by rich, bold hues of the bridal party attire.  She shared that their inspiration for planning was ‘tradition and romance with great food, and non-stop dancing. We really wanted our guests to share in our love and union, and to have an amazing time!’

After taking their vows in a traditional ceremony at the church,  the celebration continued in a nearby hall.  The reception was glamorously adorned with submerged florals and candlelight.  After pouring over the details for almost a year, an evening of all-out dancing ensued in the dreamy and carefully constructed ambiance.

* Modern Elegance in Napa Valley by La Vie Photography

Posted on September 4th, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings.

Jenna and Scott describe their first meeting as awkward, however, their elegant Napa Valley wedding was anything but.  With a dramatic palette, set against a leafy, vineyard backdrop,  the event was truly stunning.  La Vie Photography captured the bold colors, pristine florals, and sweet kisses that have us swooning.

The bridal party looked ultra-glam: Jenna in her embellished Pricilla of Boston gown and the maids in satin beauties by Alfred Angelo. I could gaze for days at the mesmerizing calla lily, orchid, and rose bouquets by Michael Daigian Design.

The couple married on the grounds of  The Vintage Estates, under a lavishly adorned chuppah.

Although she was completely uncomfortable with the idea,  Jenna created an account on JDate on one fateful day in July of 2010.  That very same week Scott planned to cancel his account, but the stars aligned; the girl from Minnesota and the boy from North Carolina were destined to connect.  Eventually, Scott traveled to Minnesota to meet Jenna in person and despite some initial online dating awkwardness… the two fell in love and the rest, as they say, is history!

The glamorous afternoon ceremony and cocktail hour turned into a truly luxe, ravishing reception in the barrel room at the winery.  Tall centerpieces, romantic candlelight, and one heck of a gorgeous cake imbued the ceremony with modern elegance.  These adorable favors from Bouchon Bakery are a little breakfast in a box…. soooo cute.  Three cheers for finding love the internet!

Happy wishes to Jenna and Scott and a big thanks to La Vie Photography for sharing these stunning photos…
