Stephanie + Johnny: A Classic Red Wedding by Jen & Ashley Photography
Posted by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings

Happy Monday, everyone! We’re starting off the week with a look at a classic crimson wedding between two West Point graduates. Stephanie and Johnny married in Hampton, Virginia on a rainy October day. Red rose floral arrangements and plenty of polished silver gave the day an Old Hollywood vibe, and we love that the bride was brave enough to pair a classic red lip with her fiery hair. Special thanks to Jen and Ashley Photography for sharing the day with us! You can see even more details (including close-ups of the bride’s stunning makeup) in our full gallery.

Stephanie and Johnny met as “plebes” at New York’s West Point Military Academy. Though they each had secret crushes on each other throughout that freshman year, it took living assignments on the same sophomore dorm hall to finally get the pair talking. For their first date, Johnny took Stephanie to a piano concert hosted by the school’s foreign language department. Academy rules prohibit PDA, but Johnny managed to sneak in a kiss at the end of the night.

A Classic Romance by Deep Grey Photography
Posted by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings

If you’re tried-and-true traditional, you’ll love what’s next!  Remie and Paolo’s Brisbane wedding encompassed their classic style with all things simple and romantic: from the mansion setting, rich red roses and every detail in between.  Their aim was to minimize ‘fuss,’ and instead focus on elements of pure elegance. The red, black and white palette made for a dramatic look, captured in timeless photos by Deep Grey Photography.

This photo is dashingly beautiful, no? It was a windy day in Brisbane, but otherwise blue skies…  Remie selected a strapless ball gown by Winnie Bridal and was lucky enough to snag it off the rack – it’s so perfect on her! Her bridesmaids wore one-shoulder frocks by Barijay, bringing just a hint of modern to the classic day.

Paolo and Remie finally met after seeing each other ‘across the room’ at several events over the years.  (Sigh, the kind of story I love…) An introduction by a mutual friend eventually led to their breathtaking, sunlit ceremony in front of a staircase and cathedral windows at the Old Government House.

They planned an intimate reception for eighty, featuring dapper black and white details and warm candlelight.  Family and friends contributed their talents and creativity to the evening:  Remie’s sister made the cake and some friends performed a surprise skit, re-enacting key moments in their relationship.  (Remie and Paolo said it was unforgettable and hilarious)!

Wishing the newlyweds decades of romance…

xoxo

Old Hollywood Glamour: A Real Wedding by Jessica Lorren Organic Photography
Posted by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings

I have something soooooo stunning for you today!  Without further ado… Marcy & Alex‘s old Hollywood-inspired wedding in Palm Beach, Florida.   From the exquisite bride, to the rich red roses to the glamorous style, there is so much gorgeousness to indulge in with this one.  Many thanks to Jessica Lorren Organic Photography for sending this wedding our way!  Marcy wore a breathtaking, backless Monique Lhuillier gown and Christian Louboutin heels.  The gentleman’s wardrobe was formal and classy- traditional black tuxedos with crimson roses on their lapels.
The couple said their vows at The Royal Poinciana Chapel and celebrated at an exclusive venue. Marcy’s favorite part of the night was becoming the wife of the man of her dreams. The wedding party = crazy beautiful. (Aren’t those colors so amazing)?! But just wait for these reception pics- utterly ravishing.  The space was adorned with sparkling silver linens and Black Magic roses in vintage style candelabras.  It was styled to old Hollywood perfection by Dream Concierge.

See the full photo spread in our Real Wedding Gallery!

Sweet wishes to this happy couple!
