* Trend Snippet: Lace Reinvented
Posted on January 25th, 2013 by Kate. Filed under Uncategorized.
Lace made a huge comeback on the runways this season and we couldn’t be happier reveling in this classic fabric. What we really love, though, is all of the contemporary styling and the suggestion of modern romance. Makes our hearts go pitter patter.

* Day One: NYC Bridal Market Top Ten {Part One}
Posted on October 15th, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Wedding Dress.
Whew! Pardon the radio silence. It’s been a jam-packed weekend of bridal runway in New York; hopefully you’ve been catching the live-from-the-runway instagrams that we’ve posted on Facebook and Twitter. We’re into the final day of market, running around the city seeing about a dozen more designers, but there are so many fab highlights to share! Without further ado, here’s our top ten from day one.
no. 1 Corseted Elements by Vera Wang
In an all-ivory presentation of her signature gowns, Vera styled the newest collection with corset elements, dreamy laces and luxe embroidery that appeal equally to the classic bride, the true romantic, and the fashionista.
no. 2 Dennis Basso’s Couture Drama
Va va voom! I’m loving these drama-infused silhouettes by Dennis Basso. A couture collection with wow factor always has a place in the highlights!
no. 3 Monique’s Feminine Romance: Bridesmaid Style
Seeing the feminine romance that is Monique Lhuillier in bridesmaid form was a total treat. The center gown is one of my favorites from the weekend; the fitted bodice is accented by a dropped waist and graceful tiered skirt- all in that very wearable shirred tulle.

no. 4 A Metallic Finale at Theia
Inspired by the Goddess, designer Don O’Neill culminated his Fall 2013 runway presentation with a completely unique, rose gold and metallic ballgown silhouette.
no. 5 Lovely Temperley Laces
The always distinctive collection by Temperley London took a more classic, romantic turn this season with lots of lace, feminine shapes, and unforgettable elements of Temperley decadence.
* Fashion Friday: Five Dresses for Fall
Posted on August 17th, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Wedding Dress.
It’s hard to believe, but autumn is just around the corner… I can already feel the buzz of back-to-school…the joys of late summer produce… and the richness of dahlias blooming. While it’s not quite time to pull out the cable knits, here are five fall wedding dresses that are the epitome of elegance and beauty. An added strap here and there… a touch of a sleeve… the luxury of fine fabric: all bridal elements that add to the exquisiteness of autumn formalwear.
