Meaghann + Darren: An Edgy Tattoo-Inspired California Military Wedding By Viera Photographics

Meaghann and Darren were inspired by old Navy Sailor Jerry tattoos for their edgy wedding at Moniker Warehouse in San Diego, Calif. Her red-sashed bridal shoes alone were covered in anchors and skulls! “We wanted our reception to look like a modern take on vintage, vampy, rustic, and industrial all rolled into one,” said Meaghann. “To say we were thrilled with the floral design would be an understatement.” Wooden crate lighting, ladders, and draped fabric were hung from the ceiling, and tablescapes were decorated with lush centerpieces filled fiddlehead ferns. Meaghann switched her Anne Barge lace mermaid ceremony gown and birdcage veil for a pair of red lips at her reception. Guests enjoyed a variety of mixed cuisine, including “sushi, Indian favorites, pasta, and more.” Instead of a wedding cake, the couple chose to have a made-to-order crepe station. Strawberry, blueberries, or blackberries, perhaps? See the full board here.
