Mirna and Brian were married in a traditional church ceremony at Saint Catherine of Siena followed by an outdoor reception at Villa San Juan Capistrano in Laguna Beach, Calif. on June 8. The couple first met through Brian’s sister, who worked with Mirna. Within minutes of meeting each other, there was chemistry. “In fact, just two weeks after meeting, Brian told his mom that I was the girl he is going to marry,” Mirna said. “He was right!” The bride wore a sweetheart lace fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown, accessorized with a gray sash and fingertip-length veil, while the groom wore a light gray suit, accessorized with a blush tie. Bridesmaids wore long chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of roses, ranunculuses, and peonies. Fun fact: They were married by the same Croatian priest who baptized Mirna 29 years ago! “I wanted a romantic setting for our reception,” she said. “The Villa in San Juan Capistrano was so beautiful on its own that it only needed a few touches to make it my own.” Each table featured mercury glass vases and vessels atop her great-grandmother’s vintage crochet pieces, and wooden table numbers. ”The venue reminded us of Croatia, which is why it was our perfect location,” Mirna said. “Even the bar area looked exactly like a ‘Konoba,’ or tavern in Croatian, so we had to include a custom sign that read ‘Konoba Wilson,’ for my husband’s last name.” Guests were encouraged to Instagram photos with the hashtag #mirnabrianwedding and enjoyed yummy cake pop favors. Plus, there was three-tiered cake and an entire cookie table! See the full board here.

Aarti and Sukrant were married at Villa Sancti Di Bella Vista in Malibu, Calif. on May 18. The groom made his grand entrance on a horse, whereas the bride walked down the red and orange rose petal decorated aisle wearing a sari, accessorized with opulent jewels. The traditional Hindu ceremony took place under a sheer mandap or canopy as 300 guests sat underneath parasols to beat the heat. The reception followed poolside. Long rectangular banquet tables were decorated with pink peonies and garden roses, accented with twisted driftwood branches and floating candles in hurricane vases for a natural yet romantic look. A MUST-SEE wedding! Check out the full board here.

Taryn + Eddie: A Multicultural Fall California Garden Wedding By Petula Pea Photography
Posted by czentgraf. Filed under Real Weddings

Taryn and Eddie were married at Darlington House, a villa, in La Jolla, Calif. ”I am half Mexican, and I have always been very influenced by Spanish culture and architecture, and I wanted that to reflect in our wedding,” Taryn said. “But I also wanted everything to feel elegant and relaxed.” The bride wore an a-line wedding gown with straps and accessorized her loose curls with a jeweled hair pin on one side. Colorful bouquets featured roses, dahlias, and succulents as well as the aisle markers too. Both of Tayrn’s parents escorted her down the aisle towards her groom, wearing a three-piece gray suit with a patterned tie, in the outdoor garden. Following the nuptials, the outdoor garden was transformed into the reception with papel picado, or Mexican cut paper, hanging overhead. Guests found their seats from bunting escort cards alongside the couple’s engagement photos and enjoyed watching “Mrs. Always Right” perform her first dance with “Mr. Right” to “The Girl” by City and Colour. Mony + Lionel: A Cheerful Eco-Friendly Yellow California Villa Wedding By Melvin Gilbert Photography
Posted by czentgraf. Filed under Real Weddings

Mony and Lionel first met on eHarmony. “The first year we enjoyed each other’s company, discovering new restaurants together and going to concerts — we share a love for R&B and hip hop music,” Mony said. “We just had this connection, and we laughed all the time. As they say, the rest is history.” They were married in September at Villa del Sol in Fullerton, Calif. The bride’s vintage-inspired look included a side updo, bright red lips and kitten heels. Bridesmaids wore long yellow chiffon dresses with asymmetrical necklines, and groomsmen wore gray suits with personalized Chuck Taylor sneakers. With the help of family and friends, the floral arrangements were made. But “we wanted to keep the decor simple since Villa del Sol already had all this greenery and great architecture,” she said. Reception tables featured lanterns atop tree bark, and “let love bloom” potted succulents were given as favors. See the full board here.
