Julie + Tim: A Pretty in Pink Vineyard Wedding by Michael & Carina Photography
Posted by Sarah Zlotnick. Filed under Real Weddings

Julie and Tim’s beautifully feminine vineyard wedding is a song of pretty fashion details and pastel reception ideas. Held just outside Charlottesville, Virginia at Keswick Vineyards, the May celebration centered around a retro aesthetic and the coming together of two longtime work friends. And those stunning brooch bouquets! The crafty bride created those herself (she also bejeweled the heels of her Badgley Mischka shoes).  Special thanks to Michael & Carina Photography for sharing the day with us—be sure to check out the complete set of photographs in our full gallery.

Lauren + Matthew: A Fun Fall Fête by Larsen’s Photography
Posted by Sarah Zlotnick. Filed under Real Weddings

Like purple and burlap? Then you’ll LOVE Matthew and Lauren’s vineyard wedding! This cheery celebration took place at the scenic Brutocao Cellars in Hopland, California, and we are absolutely smitten with the florals. From the bouquets to the centerpieces and back to the cake, the colorful combo of shades proves that fall wedding decor doesn’t have to be all moody reds and oranges. Thanks to Dandelion Floral for reminding us of that, and to Larsen’s Photography for sending over the pics!

How the couple met: Mutual friends invited Lauren to Matthew’s annual holiday party and the two quickly got to talking. After four years of dating, Mike surprised Lauren with a small box in Lake Tahoe. She originally thought it contained earrings, but once she realized he was proposing she made him get down on one knee in the middle of the street and ask for her hand the traditional way.

Tuscan-Inspired Vineyard Wedding by Michelle Warren
Posted by Sarah Zlotnick. Filed under Real Weddings

What’s more romantic than marrying your high school sweetheart in the soft California sunlight? Together for fourteen years of life’s ups and downs, Jessica and Shawn said ‘I do” at the family-run Still Waters Vineyards in Paso Robles. Inspired by Shawn’s Italian proposal (he asked her to marry him in Rome’s Borghese Gardens), they planned a rustic, Tuscan villa-inspired celebration filled with dozens of beautiful vintage details. We can’t rave enough about the lovely images Michelle Warren sent over of the day—from the earthy bouquets to the decadent cupcake spread, everything glows with love.

Jessica and her bridesmaids spent the morning of getting ready in a private cabin on the Still Waters property while the groomsmen hung out in the nearby barrel room. They came together for the ceremony atop a hill overlooking a valley of olive trees. The bride used the breathtaking landscape as inspiration for her wedding favors—tiny bottles of olive oil from a specialty shop in downtown San Luis Obispo!

As the sun went down on the warm September night, sixty of the couple’s nearest and dearest dined family style on a meal of pesto arancini, plank grilled salmon, ricotta ravioli, and more Italian fare.  No detail of the reception spread went unaddressed by the sentimental couple. Rustic, romantic florals by April Flowers  topped off vintage crystal on each of the tables. Escort cards were hung from a raised ladder. Shawn’s mother collected antique trunks and other accents to surround the dessert spread (which featured cupcakes flavors from Enjoy Bakery: Chocolate Blackberry Syrah, Meyer Lemon Chardonnay, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Foster). Finally, the custom cake topper featured the couple swinging from an olive tree and a miniature model of the couple’s dog Luey—a perfect nod to their lives before and on their wedding day.   Read the rest of this entry »

Shane + Charity: Rustic Vineyard Romance by Amanda Patrice Photography
Posted by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings

With pairings of succulents and roses, a pink palette and a vineyard setting,  Shane and Charity’s wedding in Temecula, California spells rustic romance all over.  As gorgeous as these photos by Amanda Patrice are, the day was also deeply heartfelt, filled with sentiments of how they met, grew to love one other, and became parents to their darling son.  Here’s a look, starting with this absolutely pristine bouquet of pink roses…

The maids looked pretty as can be in pink chiffon gowns, carrying those classically romantic bouquets. Charity’s hair was swept up in a braided style by Kori at Salon Amerige, as she prepared for the relaxed outdoor ceremony at Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyards

Following the touching ceremony, the family of three was joined by loved ones for an all-out celebration in the barrel room. The décor elements were a total DIY effort by the bride and groom, with some help from close friends.  The couple shares a love of reading, so these popular, succulent and vintage book pieces were just the right accent for the reception tables.

The evening was complete with the ambiance of glowing candlelight,  TONS of dancing, a romantic and textured cake (that I just can’t take my eyes off of), and a super fun sparkler send-off.  Sigh… gotta love a good rustic vineyard romance…

Wishing this cute little family so much happiness!  Massive thanks to Amanda Patrice for sharing the album.
